Campaign Kick Off Party for Will Avery

Good to see some fellow Republicans there, last night. Surepip's stew was pretty good, too.

 

Will is good people. We can always vote his butt out if he doesn't do as he says. I just know that he is head and shoulders above our other choice in this race.

Please guys,/gals, I did not mean that anyone here is a dingbat. I just mean that being a member of a party does not mean anything other than that. Some of the most fiscally responsible and conservative politicians have been democrat. Some of the least responsible folks called conservative republicans have been anything but. It just seems to often be a false assumption.

 

I really enjoy spirited discussion but harbor no ill will towards anyone here. I really enjoy the give and take. I occasionally learn something as well. And that is a good thing.

 

And ditto on the fellow republicans being there last night. It is heartening to see people reaching across party lines to support the better candidate. I don't think that happens often enough.

For me, it is time to put the partisan politics aside. The Republican "Do or Die" mentality here in Paulding has left us in the economic shape we are in. Empty houses and no decent jobs.

 

The same group who put us in this place are those who have been in charge of the local GOP for the past 10-15 years. For the most part, they are/were in it for what they could get out of it, not to take a political role to help the citizen/taxpayer/voter of Paulding County. They raped, pillaged and plundered and got very, very wealthy in the process.

 

These are indeed the group backing Paulette. And they are betting the average Paulding voter will coninue to vote lock-step with the GOP, period. I can only hope enough voters will take the time to educate themselves on the 2 candidates and choose the one who will do what is best for Paulding instead of "What the Leadership Wants".
