Funeral Director Posted August 18, 2009 Report Share Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) Mr. William Preston Epps age 88 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on August 16, 2009 at Heartland Hospice in Cartersville, Ga. He was born on May 21, 1921 in Collinsville, Alabama to the late George Washington Epps and Lizzie Terry Epps. Mr. Epps had been employed as a freight checker with Yellow Freight Company. He was an Army Veteran having served his country in WWII. Mr. Epps was a member of New Life Christian Ministry. He loved to travel and participated in many mission trips. [/size]Funeral service for Mr. William Preston Epps will be conducted on Wednesday August 19, 2009 at 11 am in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Folds officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Kevin Harry and Mr. Tony Harris. Pall bearers will include his grandsons: Terry Fennell, Ron Epps, Khris Williams, David Williams, Tony Fennell, and Ben Williams. Matt Clawson, Marcus Williams, and Tommy Williams will serve as Honorary Bearers. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. William Preston Epps is survived by daughters and sons in law; Juanita Fennell & Lee Thomas of Dallas, Ga; Peggy & Manuel Fennell of Tennessee; Wanda & David Lukes of Waleska, Ga.; sons and daughters in law; Garland & Sally Epps of North Carolina; Larry & Gail Epps of Holly Springs, Ga.; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday August 18, 2009 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Wednesday August 19, 2009 from 9 AM until the service begins at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to: New Life Christian Ministry in care of Wanda Lukes at 584 Ashridge Rd, Waleska, Ga. 30183.
