Funeral Director Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 Mrs. Frances "Granny" Harris age 89 of Hiram, Georgia passed away at her residence on Friday March 13, 2009. Mrs. Harris was born on December 21, 1919 in Paulding County Georgia to her late parents Arthur Eberhart and Emma Gray Eberhart. For a number of years she was self-employed as a chicken farmer, later she was employed by Coats & Clark and then Malbon. Mrs. Harris was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and wife. Mrs. Harris is survived by a daughter: Sarah Bales of Hiram, Ga; son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Teddy and Sharon Harris of Cedartown, Ga; four grandchildren: Shane Bales of Hiram, Ga, Shay Dudley of Douglasville, Ga, Barry Bales of Hiram, Ga and Lisa Harris of Dallas, Ga; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her husband who passed away on February 27, 1991: Rev. Vernoy Harris. Funeral Services for Mrs. Harris will be held at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday March 15, 2009 at 3:00pm with Rev. Ricky Eaves and Rev. Vermon Parmer Officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart and Charles Cole. Interment will follow service at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday March 14, 2009 from 4pm to 9pm and again Sunday from 9am until the time of the service at 3pm. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday by 2:15pm and they include: Danny Harris, Steve Eberhart, Wendell Eberhart, Buddy Eberhart, Chris Atcheson and Jeremy Prather. Honorary pallbearers are: Russell Ferguson, Charles Eason and Billy Eberhart. The Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home has charge of the arrangement s for Mrs. Frances "Granny" Harris.
