nicholascolephotographer
I am planning to offer photos with live bunnies again this year and I am looking for a baby bunny during the first week of April. Baby bunnies work better because there are a lot of babies to photograph and I don't want the people babies to be hidden by the rabbit. Send a PM if you can help. Here are a couple from years past. nicholascolephotographer
What will you do with the bunny after Easter? After keeping the bunny well fed, groomed, and happy to sit with the children, I will give the bunny back to whomever lets me borrow one. There are state and federal rules against drawing a name or giving away the bunnies. I have a couple sites listed below. Here is some info. National Rabbit Breeders NO LIVE ANIMAL PRIZES! Riograce
Thanks for answering my question. I always feel sorry for "Easter" chicks and bunnies - so many of them have sad endings when people don't "need" them any more.

Wow, I had no idea this was a Georgia law! Thanks for the heads up! I have a children's photographer friend in Chicago that does Easter photos with baby bunnies and she has a free drawing for them at the end of the sessions. I guess it is only illegal in some states. I know of another local children's photographer who gets a baby lamb for photos, but have no idea where she "rents" it from (for lack of a better term). I second whoever said try the local tractor supply or feed store... they probably would let you borrow one and bring it back after the afternoon is up. Or maybe Petite Farms up in Cartersville. Good luck! Can't wait to see the cute pics!
melw
I can't wait to bring my crew in for pictures. Although I think you may have to do some creative photoshopping to get all 4 of mine in with a bunny without damage to any younger siblings or bunnies
