+auntneet
When should one start having them done? I have never had one---I am 36. The usual recommendation is 40 yrs old, unless you have a family history. I started with them at 35 to set up a baseline... and I have a family history.

+auntneet
That is a great idea.. Thank you (love your new avatar) Lady Raider... spread the word - we had two ladies in yesterday with their "proof". We're happy women are getting their mammos. Along with self-checks, the mammos save lives.
WendyLeCroy
I am 37, no family medical history, but my doctor told me when I went in for my annual exam that I should've already started getting them. So, I am assuming they are now recommending we start at age 35.

A mammo at 35 will give a good baseline - I'm all for it!
