:o oh my gosh I wonder if she lives there.. OHHH I hope she took the keys out of the ingnition... maybe that does not matter anymore for a dui...

And you feel sorry that she is about to be charged with DUI because ...?

From JimmyZ's post, sounds like she has hit something while driving drunk, hopefully it wasn't a child in the neighborhood, or someone walking their dog! The ONLY way to stop people from driving drunk is for them to have to talk to a judge, and that doesn't work all the time.

Past out drunk at 5:00 in the afternoon? She has a serious problem and needs help! Hoping she took the keys out of the ignition is only enabling her, not helping her! The next time she drives drunk it could be on the same road you are driving on, or your kids are playing on! I prefer she is sitting in a jail cell when she's drinking myself, I do not want her hurting or killing someone I care about!

Sorry, didn't mean to sound so mean. Just don't have ANY compassion for drunk drivers!

first off I did not say that she should be or not be charged.. I was not showing compassion.. drinking and driving is not something I support I am AGAINST it especially after watching my best friends mom get murdered by a drunk driver at the age of 16 yes I call it murder she knew she was drinking she knew the consequences of what drinking might entail she was responsible in ensuring if she drank to much she needed a safe ride home.. she did not care... it was murder.. I think if you drink and do not have a dd or a safe plan it is murder... you are planning to drink...

I just know when we were teens (18 and we were legal at 18 back then) and we were camping and we all had been drinking we had the car radio on and the police came up the officer told us to take the keys out of the ignition he told us the reason he did that was because if they were in the ignition we would be charged with a dui because we had no keys in the ignition we were safe. Having the keys in the ignition shows intent of driving.. if she was in the passenger seat she still could get in trouble for having the keys in the ignition.

i was in no way feeling sorry for her..

the hit and run was a negative.... fyi my post about her not having keys in the ignition was before the hit and run possibility.

OK... this is in MY subdivision on MY road. When I read the first post, I got in my SUV and went to find out. She does NOT live in our sub. , If she was drunk then she was REALLY drunk... looked VERY incoherent. The SO was looking at the front of her van after they took her off. Looked like she had hit something or the like. We are a VERY small , quiet subdivsion.. so this was VERY interesting.

Yep... white mini van.
wonder where she was from..this is an after thought I just looked at the time if she did not live in your s/d and it looks as if she drove there the traffic was pretty heave from 2:30 until she was found.. that is scary.. I was sort of hoping she just climbed in her vehicle and passed out cold.. that really is scary...I bet she does not have a license either
