October is domestic violence awareness month. Yes, men are 40% of reported DV victims. Most men don't report it because they are never taken seriously. Women account for 54% of child abuse cases. Domestic violence is not gender specific but the prosecution of it is filled with gender bias. -
Measure 6 supporters have claimed a tentative lead with many undecideds. Measure 6 removes the gender bias of the courts and the adversarial roles of parents in divorce and custody. Good for kids but bad for lawyer profits. Which is why supporters being out spent 10-1 by out of state influences makes this lead that much more amazing. If this measure is passed in North Dakota it can serve as a template for other states. http://www.ndsp4k.com/

No, of course you haven't heard about riots in Utah because there have been no riots in Utah . . . Despite the fact that a 20 year old unarmed white male was executed by a black cop. I heard of this from my father and did a web search (here is the google search if you want to read) and the first few don't mention anything about race. While I feel that not mentioning race is appropriate, it should be equally applied.
