When first presented with the idea, I was just about where you are SG. I was curious and skeptical ... and then I saw the world press take notice. Why would they care? I did a little more research on the airline industry - not enough to make me an expert on airlines - but enough to note there are some less than obvious opportunities when it comes to enhancing competition. The airline carriers are pulling back, limiting service to smaller cities and eliminating in some others. Air transportation is a public-private partnership much like the highways ... where the government provides the lo

Who knew? http://www.mdjonline.com/neighbor_newspapers/west_georgia/paulding-airport-becoming-popular-film-location Paulding's airport is fast becoming a popular location for a commonplace activity in Georgia — film production. Filming recently wrapped on the fourth production in a year at Silver Comet Field as the new film "The Last Full Measure" was shot at the airport earlier this month. Whether you are a fan of Reality TV or not, I think some of you may find this sort of activity AMAZ

Paulding County's actions to fund expansion of the Airport to make it viable for commercial use through public bonds was affirmed by the Georgia Supreme Court today. The county, which approved bonds for a runway expansion, was challenged by two residents whom many believe were proxies for the interests of Delta Airlines and HJIA, who oppose any other commercial airports in the Atlanta region. Above is an interview with Paulding Board of Commissioners Chairman David Austin, who is pleased with the decision. Click for RECENT TOPICS click for RECENT TOP
