  1. I have 17 acres on Hiram Sudie Road between Hwy. 92 and Bill Carruth Pkwy (a.k.a. West Hiram Pkwy) FOR SALE The property has been subdivided into four 2 acre tracts and two 4 acre tracts. Currently a 30' drive and utility easement is being constructed. The property has its own spring fed lake, located within the two 4 acre tracts. This lake is currently being redefined for esthetic reasons. All acreage constists of gently rolling hills and beautiful hard woods. The property neighbors two churches and several well-to-do neighbors. The property is just close enough to all of Hiram’s shopping centers but far enough from the crowds, also just less than 3 miles away is Hiram High School. The property can be sold as a hole, meaning that the 17 acres can be sold without purchasing the individual tracts. For information please contact Steve Nelson @ (770)-505-8566 and be sure to refer to this add. Hurry, there have been many calls on this property, but we are waiting for the best buyer.

  3. This is for a Canary owner or used to be owner

Hi, I am trying to decide whether or not to purchase a yellow canary. Now I have read about the difference in the noise that a male or female often makes, but my question is: Do they (male or female) chirp or sing at night? I am looking for a bird that is not going to drive me up the wall at night or chirp so loud that my ears are going to burst. My house does not have the tolerance for such loud noises. Plus if you have any more tips for caring or warnings for owning a canary that would be great.

  4. Hey guys, I need two or four JBL Eon G2 15" 400 watt speakers. These are not regular car or stereo speakers. These speakers are meant for large area use for instance in my church. Please let me know if you have any for sale and how much.

    Thanks,

  5. I have two cats that are less than one years of age. One female and one male, they are both inside cats and are very loving. The female is solid white with pink ears and paws, while the male is solid black with brown ears and paws. The male is completely done in vet trips; he is neutered w/ rabies shot. The female has only had first few shots and is in good health. The cats love each other and love playing. I have a 12 foot cat tree that goes from floor to ceiling and a specially designed litter box that eliminates clean up time; of course I have a scratching post and dozens of toys.

If you are interested please email me I can send you pictures that may help with your decisoion. I am not asking for any money, but I won't turn down an offer. My apartment is getting too small for them and I need to find a home for them quickly. PLEASE let me know if you are interested.

Oh, the male is definitely a lap cat, while the female needs more attention so that she is not so shy.

    Thanks,

  6. I currently have 6 animals so I really don't need another but if you really would like to keep your babies, an apartment isn't too small for a kitty. My main floor in my house is only 1000 square feet and most apts have close to that square footage. My cats have all the room they need to play their little butts off.

Well, I live in a tiny house no more than 600 square feet. So with two cats its very crowded. But I understand what you mean. If I hade a bigger apartment or house I would keep them.

    Thanks,

    poetdon

  10. Ok everybody,

I work for a local grocery store. The Saverite at Hiram/61 intersection is closing by the end of the week (supposedly). They have stopped excepting checks and are only taking cash. There is no buyer for this particular saverite yet. There is a new Kroger opening up on the other end of hwy 61 in Dallas next door to Chatt. College. For those of you who want good food for a low price shop at Ingles grocery store in Dallas next to the Big Lots and Captain D's. Ingles is the next cheapest store besides Saverite in the Dallas and Hiram area. Publix is a very expensive store to shop at, your right it is very clean and very nice. But in the end you’re paying for all that nice-ness. Kroger has its moments and so does every other store. But it is not the only store around. Try Ingles, Kroger, and Publix and make a decision based on price and how well managed each store is.

    Good luck!!

  11. This Friday March 11 and 12 off of Rich Davis Road. The youth of North West Christian Fellowship Church are hosting a yard sale to raise money for a tsunami fund. Please come by and help out by purchasing anything you like. If we don't have it ask and maybe when can find it. Help us Help others.

Again its off Rich Davis Road which is off Clay Road which is off Hiram Sudie or Nebo Road. If you need better directions follow the signs or email me and I will get back to you.

Hours Friday and Saturday 8am 5pm

  12. Don't use Doctor Nestle. Use Doctor Nancy she is located behind Kroger in Hiram. She is really nice and will help you with anything. She won't touch you without exrays to ensure she won't further your injuries. She is really easy to talk to and fast. She is open at 8am until 7pm so people can go after or before work.

  13. Hi, I am the proud owner of D & C lawn care. I am currently out of work because of the season but have a question for the citizens who live in subdivisions.

Would you pay for someone else to maintain the entrance of your subdivision and how much would you being willing to pay?

Maintaining means to cut grass, weed-eat, de-weed, mulch, plant, etc.

I just need to know so I can begin my next season. Oh, and please let me know how each of your subdivisions keep their entrance maintained if you are not interested in a lawn care service such as mine.

    :)

  14. NO!!!!!!!!!

Here is a high school student's perspective. I am a senior at Hiram High School. For those who say YES to uniforms are mostly likely parents. I as a student can't afford the abercombie or aeropostal. For those who are complaining about money, try this on for size. I am a triplet, and I have one older brother. My parents could not afford the really expensive clothing, but once a year before school my parents would buy reasonably priced clothing. We shopped at Old Navy, Goodies, Kohl’s, payless, and many more stores in which sales and bargains were. It is all about what you are willing to spend and where you are willing to go. Uniforms are not a good idea; they do not allow an individual to express themselves. If I were a so called "punk" kid, I would want to wear black not brown or green etc...

If uniforms were introduced in a school, you as parents would end up buying the Khaki and golf shirts. Which means three to four pairs Khaki and five to seven golf shirts. The school especially Hiram High would not purchase the uniforms for students. Each school has a dress code that limits what can and cannot be worn, it is up to the school to inforce this code. Now if parents want to save money, tell your child(s) a certain amount you are willing to spend. Anything past your amount they must purchase themselves. Now they may actually be forced to get a job. God forbid some spoiled child gain responsibility. NO to uniforms, you will still be spending money. :D

  15. Hi,

I am looking for a part time job between the hours of 3pm and whenever. I can work weekends except for Sunday. I do a lot of volunteer work and currently have just ended my own lawn care service. I had about 14 constant customers in which I made a pretty good profit. Unfortunately I need a job in order to keep attending a work program/class at the local Hiram High School. I am a senior and a very well known person throughout Paulding County. I am a member of P.C. Historical Society and Museum. I have worked at a local business for a year and have just recently decided to leave. I love to do office work as well as manual labor. I can type, file, clean etc.. I know how to use almost all basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic. I am at the point where I will take anything. Only one thing, I must work at least 10 hours per week. If you have a job I can do please don't hesitate to contact me. :D

    Thank you,

    Donald

  16. CLR-

The changing seat tradition has been with Hiram High School sense it opened. I (a current junior) have gone up to see Mr. Turner in his office today, during school. He, of course, is conveniently absent today. I can prove he is not here at Hiram High today because his car wasn’t there, so I know the office attendants are pulling a fast one, like they have done in the past. I will continue to attempt to speak with him until I get my answers. I will see if there is a way to fix the problem so both sides win.

  17. This is in response to acorn123. I am actually a nice guy, I only get this wordy and rude when I am hurt and angry at something I should have been able to take part in. I do apologize for my words, but I still don’t appreciate what Mr. Turner did. I only hope that you understand where I am coming from. Maybe if Mr. Turner reads some of these posts he’ll turn around.

  18. I am currently a junior at Hiram High School. I am an A/B honor roll student. I have a clean record, meaning no In School Suspension or Out of School Suspension or anything else. I have a GPA of 3.7+ and I have passed all my Georgia Graduation Tests the first time. I am extremely angry with what Mr. Marty Turner decided to do to the junior class. During the entire ceremony Mr. Turner never once told, threatened, or warned the juniors that they could lose their seat exchanging. I for one have lost all respect for Mr. Turner and I am not the only one. I will not be going to my senior awards ceremony next year even if I do receive an award, because of this year. I will not behave at the next assembly, same with most students; I refuse to allow Mr. Turner to run the show, when the show is not all about what he wants. Even though I do understand that there were around 20 to 30 people who were acting up, I don't think that Mr. Turner should have punished the entire class for a few people’s actions. There are other ways of handling misbehaving children. For one thing Mr. Turner himself was about one half hour late to the ceremony (unknown reason). I do know that Mr. Turner had some so-called important visitors at the ceremony. I think that is why Mr. Turner made such a drastic punishment, probably to save his butt from looking bad. I have listened to all of his "famous" on going speeches; he is always trying to better the school and each class. But if you think about the reason behind this on going imaging making of his, you'll find that if we as a class look or act bad it reflects on him. I think that Mr. Turner thinks too much of his own image and he trys to pass it on as the image he wants for us.

I wish that I could have switched seats with the seniors. I have waited three years for that one moment to actually be recognized as a senior of class 2005. I really hope that Mr. Turner fixes his huge mistake or there will never be a normal assembly with Mr. Turner again.

MOST IF NOT ALL OF THIS TEXT IS MY OWN STRONG, PERSONAL OPINION!

  19. Hey!

Ok, here's another way you (MaxiMize) can have your problems fixed. You can go to the Paulding Probates or Permits office, the Paulding Bureau of better businesses (if there is one), and go to the Paulding Commissions office. Go to each one and make a written note or report at each office stating your problems and most importantly the name of your contractor and his business. Now I say this because P.C. is trying to keep contractors and other people who like to cheat people, out of the county. Now making his name public would be the best way to make sure he doesn't build in this county again without having problems himself. Also make sure that you go to the Paulding Permits or Probates office and make them aware of your situation, because they are the ones that control whether that contractor can get a permit in P.C.

    Good Luck!! :D

  20. Ok, now I've done some research to attempt to help you out, MaxiMize. Now depending of the terms of your warranty, all structural problems within the limited time given on a warranty should be repaired by someone who works for the contractor. Now keep in mind that if a representative comes out to see your house, to take note of your problems, he is going to try to limit the amount of money his company is going to have to pay. Such as your gutters that you say are slanting away from your spouts, a representative comes out and discovers that you haven't cleaned your gutters out, he's going to say that it's your fault the gutters are falling away. Now he doesn't have to pay for the gutter problem. Do you see what I mean?

Sense your house is being lived in, it will be easy for him to find ways out of having to repair some of your problems. You should have someone, whether it be a representative of you contractor or another company, come out and document these problems. Try not to bring in a lawyer or courts or threaten the contractor until you find that he is unwilling to meet your demands. Only after you have done all you can do to get the contractor to meet your needs, do you get a lawyer and take action. Now I could be wrong on some information that I typed, but this, to me, seems to be the obvious way to go.

NOTE: YOU NEED TO READ YOUR COPEY OF WARRANTY. Make sure that your warranty is still valid and that structural problems are under warranty. Read all terms of warranty. :D

  21. Yes, I agree with webmaster. You need to document these problems. Then, if you haven't already attempted to contact him several times, try meeting with him and let him know what your problems are. While speaking with him, you should let him know that you are prepared to take action. Now try to set a date for him to come out to your house to see the problems, then when he misses the date, if he does, then call him up and ask why. He'll probably give a stupid answer. If he doesn't set up a new date, call you lawyer because he's dragging you on a chain. Your lawyer will direct you in the correct direction if he won't deal with the small claims court issues. Either way, anything under warranty must be repaired if broken. Now don't let him drag you around on a chain so to speak, he's just going to try to outlast he warranty.

Now I know a lot about warranty issues because I work the accounts receivables department for a privately owned business. I deal with these problems every day, with people not wanting to pay for service that is under warranty. You need to take action now, not later. The longer you wait the harder it will be to have things fixed.
