  1. I am amazed that people just seem to walk off, or maybe they die, and leave houses abandoned. I have seen dozens in just the area around Hiram (south Pauding County). A lot of them you can only see during the winter when the leafs are off the trees. There are two on Nebo road just off 92.

  2. I guess its all about location. Where I was located, within walking distance ;)

I lived in a little town called Woodstock, the closest train station was in Oxford. There were buses but to get to where I worked I would have to take three different buses and it would take almost two hours. I could drive it in 20 minutes.

  3. the people in charge make it more difficult for england to drive (ie: insurance and gas prices, they pay approx 3 dollars a Liter) - but they have a kick arse rail system. There's really no need to have a car there like there is in the sprawl of suburbia here.

I lived in England a few years ago and my car insurance was only $412 a year. That was for liability insurance, 24 hour road side assistance and windshield replacement. Believe me you need a car, where I lived was 15 miles from the nearest train station.

  4. they are so concerned about dress code. they will get all over u for your hole in your pants. and preventing bandanas and all that mess. i honestly think they dont see things deeper than what the gangs wear.

I take it they never taught you anything about capitalization at EPHS? Or when they were teaching about capitalization, you were distracted because of how other people were dressed?

  5. this is a asian car and it is very exciting to drive and nothing plain about it,.. it probably the most fun i have had driving a car since my 72 dodge charger with the 428 stroker hemi :D :D :D

Question, how much did you have to stroke that Hemi to get 2 more cubic inchs?

As for Toyota in NASCAR; the problem is that Toyota does not want to compete they want to dominate and they have the money to do it. Look at the the NASCAR Truck Series, Toyota has bought most of the top teams and drivers. Last year they won 12 of the 25 races. The same thing will happen in the NASCAR Nextel Series, within five years.

  6. I have eaten at the China Garden Buffett only twice, the first time was about five years ago, no problem. The last time was about three months ago. Big problem, somehow I got shrimp in my broccoli beef. I am allergic to shell fish. I was in bad shape for about three hours, my esophagus swells making it hard to breathe. At first I though I was having a heart attack. It could have been someone just dropped the shrimp in the beef but there was more than one, as I must have eaten at least one and there were several more on my plate.

  7. The administrative jobs with the military...does that mean you have to go through training to be a soldier, or are you a civilian employee?

If you enlist in to the military (take the oath) you are a soidier and will have, at the least, basic training in how to fight. If after basic training you get specilized training in adminstration you will be a still be a soldier, but your job will be adminstrative. The military has hundreds of different jobs, but first you must become a soldier.

However, the military does hire civilians to do adminstrative work.

  8. Yes, you can buy the Dallas New Era at just about any convince store. In some areas, they deliver the Paulding Neighbor for free.

You can't really call the Paulding Neighbor a NEWSpaper. I don't think it would report a murder (or any other crime) in Paulding County, even it was their own editor that was murdered. The Dallas New Era is not much better.

  9. Don't use WD-40 on sealed bearings (like the ones found in fans) the pressure from the aerosol can and the solvant in the WD-40 wash away the permanent lubricant. The bearing may run quieter for a short period of time, because of the light oil in the WD-40, but it will soon be making noise again.

  10. Cobb County Police Dept. seems to have jurisdiction on all of their roads.

I live off Nebo Road, Nebo Road from Highway 92 to the Country Club is the city of Hiram's jurisdiction, just the road almost nothing on either side of the road. One day a truck lost control went off Nebo Road and ended up in my neighbors front yard. The Hiram Police and the County Sheriff argued for 45 minutes who should write the report. One said he was in the county the other said it started in the city. GSP had to come and strighten it out, as I remember the city had to write the report.

When I lived in California it was simple city police has jurisdiction over their incorporated areas, the county sheriff had everything else except the state and interstate highways which were coverd by the California Highway Patrol in the city or county.
