There are other resources for native american research. You can look up info from the rolls of different tribes. Have you tried researching that way yet?
Yes I have but I don't know which tribe, that's what I need to know.

I am from Indian decent with the last name Hand, and found back 5-6 generations, but need to prove a particular Grandmother's maiden name which haven't found yet. She came from the Carolinas sometimes around the Civil War.
Does anyone know how to go from there??? All help would be appreciated

If they want to send GC next year, tactfully ask them to send a pp Master or Visa. I did for my Granddaughters (had to pay activitation fee, can buy reloadable) but they can go any place and buy anything they want.
Kicker is last year I was the one to take 2 of them shopping and it does they them a long time to make up their mine as it is their money not mine or the parents. Lots of fun and just about the time you think they've made up their mine, guess what they spot something else that might be the perfect thing they reeeeeaaaallllly waaaaaaaaant. LOL
