I don't have any advice but I will offer up many prayers for your family.

Mrs. Jones, at most churches it is optional what you put in if you put anything at all. I am baptist and I have always been taught that we should give 10% of our income. But it is not required. At my church, donations/tithes are the only source of income but God always supplies the needs of our church. I hope this helps anwser your question.

Praying for you and your family. My heart has been so heavy for your family and the other families. My heart, thoughts and prayers continue to go out to you all.

My 13 year old son has a cell phone, but not because he wanted it, I want him to have it for all of reasons that others here have mentioned. His cell phone is on our "family plan" through Verizon, and he can call other family members on Verizon...his dad, grandparents and myself. To me $10.00 a month for peace of mind is cheap. He is allowed to call his friends, we just told him to watch his minutes, he used 9 minutes last month. I am the one who goes over on the minutes. I feel like cell phones can be a responsibility lesson if used correctly. JMO

I've been to Serendipity 3. Great place.
I thought Tavern was tacky inside! JMO.
I love NY too!
Well, my taste is a little ecentric! LOL

Tavern on the Green was beautiful, but the food is way overpriced and not that good. We went to Serendipity 3, and it was great, the wait is usually long, but there were only 2 of us, so we were seated in about 10 minutes...their Frozen Hot Chocolate is FABULOUS. I love the atmosphere there. Have fun, wish I was going back!!! I LOVE NEW YORK!!

The Survivor walk will be at 6pm to kick off Relay. The Luminarie Ceremony will be at 10 pm. The Torches of Hope will be lit during the Luminarie Ceremony. We will have a slide show this year during the ceremony that you don't want to miss! Hope to see everyone out tonight. There will be games, line dancing and lots of good food.

I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and inject with lime juice then marinate in a casserole dish with the chicken covered in lime juice for about 2 hours ( in the fridge), then I sprinkle with garlic salt and grill. Serve over a bed of rice with artichoke hearts, I melt swiss cheese on the top of the chicken too. It is very tasty and healthy as well.

Can anyone suggest a very reasonable(cheap) place to take our grandsons on vacation for 3 or 4 days. They are 6 and 12.
The beach if they like to swim, that way there is not alot of "entertainment" cost. You could get a room with a kitchenette or a small condo and eat in the room.
Pigeon Forge, TN is also nice. Dollywood is great and not quite as expensive as Six Flags.
Chattanooga has lots like Look out Mtn., Ruby Falls, the Aquariam.

There is a place in Franklin GA, Rockridge Baptist Assembly, our church uses this for Officers/Teachers retreats. We enjoy it very much.

There will be a Car Show/Swap meet tomorrow at Fullerville Baptist Church in Villa Rica to help sponsor our youth camp. There will be cake walks, concession stand and lots of fun. The car show will be all day and we will have a Gospel Bluegrass festival tomorrow evening beginning at 5 pm. Thanks!!

Alot of teachers I know really appreciate Gift Certificates to places like Walmart, The School Box, Target....They have to purchase alot of their supplies so I would think this would be nice, if they don't need supplies, they can always use it for something they really want or need.
