  1. I kind of call myself a PC Beach expert. We have been going for 25 years straight, at least once a year but usually 2 or 3 times. I don't ever need a map, I know all of the back roads, have ate at MOST of the resturaunts. I will tell anyone unfamiliar with PC Beach the number 1 thing is how to get around. Use the PC BEACH EXPRESSWAY or Back Beach Road. You can zoom where ever you need to go by finding the address of the establishment you want to go to and cut down the side roads to it.

    2) There are some great resturaunts and some not so great.

    The other thing is finding ones that are consistent is tough because of the turnover with cooks and help. I have had favorites such as;

    1) Montego Bay 2) Captain Andersons 3) Boon Docks 4) Pompanos 5) Angelos 6) Captain Jacks 7) Bishops 8) Black Angus 9) Hammer Head Freds 10) Sharky's 11) Bayou Bill's Crab House 12) Schooners 13) Breakers and many others I have forgotten that must not have been so good. I can say of all I have been to above, I have had some that were my favorite that are not anymore and then they get good again. ANY of these can be exceptional but for consistency it would be 1) Angelos 2) Boon Docks 3) Hammer Head Freds Black Angus 4) Schooners.

    The part of PC BEACH that is the newest is fast becoming my wifes's favorite (not necessarily mine) is Pier Park. There are many new eateries and more shipping than a savings account can stand. Winning rave reviews that I have not been to would be Jimmy Buffet's Magaritaville. Eveyone I talked to says it is great, we just didn't care to wait in the lines.

    AS far as Condos and Resorts, there are many bad stories from some of the newer ones with people going through their things in the room while they are away, elevator horror stires, security issues, etc. MY advice is ask around and find somehwehere you like and stick with it. My favorite is one of the older ones on the beach and is actually just outside the PC Beach City Limit. That would be Pinnacle Port. It is just West of where Back Beach Road runs back into Front Beach and sits amongst some really nice beach Houses in a quaint little community setting. There is a saltwater inlet on one side and Gulf of Mexico on the other. The security is GREAT and always visible. I never have ever worried about my kids there. There is Tennis Shuffleboard and pretty good fishing in the inlet on the fishing docks. There is a Winn Dixie and a Publix there and no loud party kids allowed. I have stayed at many others, some good some not. This is my family's pick every year.

    We are going to stay at Pinnacle Port next month and my kids love to fish. Do they require a license for you to fish in the saltwater inlet?

    I'll see if froggy will email me a couple more to post....I didn't realize the files were too big to fit all the pics on a cd to bring with me....

    I was able to manage to snag Trace's "song/set list" following the concert for my scrapbook. :)

    working on getting a couple more trace pics....will be a few minutes

    Thanks so much for sharing!!

  3. Please, critty, more pics...my best friend went last night too, but I could not go again...:( She said it was awesome. She got to rush the stage as well and said he was just too hot last night. Thanks for sharing your pictures!!

  4. It's my understanding that kids are discouraged from going door to door (read: they want the parents to take the fundraisers to work and push them on their coworkers) which I refuse to do. And my neighborhood has a ton of kids that all go to the same school, so going door to door is kinda redundant.

    Why can't each family just kick in $25 or $50 at the beginning of the year and be done with it? Or sell those World's Finest candy bars we sold when we were kids (they sell themselves).

    Instead, they get these kids all hyped up at the possibility of 'winning' some crap thing you could pick up at walmart or even the dollar store.

    :glare:

    I agree 100%!!! I would much rather give a "donation" at the beginning of the school year. We don't participate in the fundraising, but I do send in LOTS of things needed by the classroom throughout the year.

  5. Dr. Haugabrook in Douglasville is awesome!! At work at Tanner in Villa Rica, so I've been around her. She does a great job with the newborns!!! She had even picked up on some problems with the babies that others didn't recognize!

    Yes, Dr. Haugabrook is AWESOME!!! She is our family physician, we all see her. Her number is 770-942-1044, she is on Adair Street in Douglasville at Total Care Family Medicine.
