  1. I guess I can see your point, but experience in raising children (and observing other kids with parents who have a different methodology) has taught me one thing.....train your kids when they are REALLY young. Maybe I'm just blessed, but I also am an adamant believer in teaching kids right from wrong at a VERY EARLY stage in life.

Your kids (when they are VERY young) are very pliable and easily instilled with good morals, but if you don't act when they are really young, (say, waiting until they're 5 or 6) then statistics show that you're too late. If parents would make sacrifices and spend time with their kids when they are really little, this world would be a better place. I think too many parents become parents while they are still kids themselves, and don't have the knowledge in hand to properly raise their kids right......unwittingly and oblivious to the end results, which is sad.

Exactly, I have 6 kids .. and no worries. Call me naive, but imo if you raise them right from the start, you won't have to worry when they are older. :)

  2. AMC Theatre, Borders, Barnes and Noble, Cold Stone Creamery, Applebees, Papa Johns, Sonic, Subway, Rue 21, Baskin Robbins, Kohls, Walmart, Publix, Brusters, and Dairy Queen .. they all hire teens. Hope this helps :)

  3. I NEVER lock my cars.....but I NEVER leave anything in there worth stealing. The windows cost more to replace than the vehicles....so I leave them unlocked. Common sense, IMO. ;)

Yup, I had a friend who's windshield was smashed for a quarter  I just don't keep valuables in my van. I have 2 carseats .. but I actually had my van broken into a few years ago .. they didn't take a thing .. just left the door open :nea: guess car seats aren't on their list.

  4. It's sad but true!! A while ago a jewelery store in Powder Springs was going out of business and everything was 90% off. This lady wanted a necklace that was $100.00, making it $10.00 with the discount and she wasn't impressed with the sale saying, 'Well, thats not that good a deal, it's probably only $10.00 of $15.00 off'. OH MY!

    Wow

  5. Thugs.....Just saying but MOST of them are from the inner city and happen to be black. Just an observation!

Sadly, I agree with you :( I lived in Cali during the LA riots. And during the OJ trial. I hate to stereotype .. it's not my style and makes me feel bad. However, living there, it's so in your face .. there is no hiding it or trying to call it anything other than what it is.

  6. Most of my friends are men..Women are just mean and hateful

I'll second that .. never did get along with women :nea: Ever since I can remember playing in the mud with the boys, riding bikes, climbing trees .. Barbie dolls were not for me. I've always loved just being one of the guys :D

Well, who knew that there were so many level headed confident married people on PCOM. Most of my married friends hubbys don't mind me, they know that I am harmless. There are a couple of them that don't trust me with their wives as far as they can throw me. I am wondering if it is insecurity or something else. (I don't want to ask though)

See, that wouldn't bother my husband at all. But, then again all my guy friends are also his friends.
