  1. We sure did! Next time you and the kids and hubby can come too. Had plenty of room. DH took care of the repairs on the condo and I just sat back and relaxed.

I will have to check with my broker to see if I've got any money left. :D Might can squeeze a few dollars out of the account if I tell him we're going up there. At least your hubby will drive the whole way. Mine makes me drive a few hours.

  2. I am not complaining. I am simply pointing out that if you guys do not already know that WT posts his political rants in the Cafe they you guys are not doing a very good job.

I realize my ID is new but I personally am not new. Because of the way Pcom does password recovery I can not recovery my lost password because my email has changed so I have a new ID.

So I have been around for a while and he has been doing it for a long time. So either he does not care, obviously, or you guys are not policing it very will because he is well known for doing it.

The old song and dance that "we are volunteers and can not moderate every single post" is an old tune.

And now I will get off my soap box before I have to duck. =@

Understand that most of the mods don't post all that much. Some mods don't post at all. Some in spurts. We don't know if there is not a report made. Just don't pay it much attention without a report.

Use the report button to help us.

    Thank you.

  3. Thank you.

I absolutely respect and admire the job that you moderators have - after all, it does not benefit you monetarily or otherwise and it is a volunteer position. We couldn't have this site is it weren't for people like you and the other moderators.

I just hope that you all will also respect when issues are brought to your attention and will deal with them accordingly. My experience thus far, is that you have dealt with them and I absolutely agree that you "can't be in all places at all times". Thank you for everything you do.

  4. We moderators are all volunteer, and are not possibly capable of reading every post. We have jobs, families, and responsibilities away from the board. We do the best we know how. Although we, as moderators have personal opinions about everything we read, it is our job to remove our personal bias from any actions we take.

When we see a thread in the wrong forum, we try to move it. We can't catch them all and rely on members to use the report button. Some threads turn political but did not start that way. Publisher does not handle the day to day moderation. He handles the news and the stuff that requires his attention. Don't blame him for threads in the wrong forum because he has nothing to do with it. The moderators handle that so Publisher doesn't have too.

Constant, continuous moderation of every post is simply not possible. Consistent application of the rules is possible, and that is what we strive to do, but as publisher says: "Perfection eludes us all". We rely on members such as you to report issues to us that we do not, or have not seen. We appreciate the input from the board membership, and encourage you, and others to continue using the report button. You may not ever see any action that is taken, or any immediate results of the action, but trust me: Every reported post is read and examined and taken seriously.

Thank you for your input. Feel free to share anytime, and thank you for listening to me.

  5. Apparently my little one isn't immortal, as she likes to think. She came home from her first visitation at daddy's sick as heck. I don't blame him, at all, as she was only there for 24 hours. He walked in the door with her and whisked her up to the bathroom - apparently she got sick in the car. He cleaned her up and cuddled with her until she decided she wanted me again. He did say she wasn't running a temp, but he doesn't have a thermometer. I do....and she is. It's 100.7, which isn't horrible. She's kind of just laying around, asking to cuddle alot, says that her tummy hurts, and refuses to eat. She's curled up on my bed with a popsicle and some gatoraide at the moment.

What do I do? I know this is just that stupid stomach bug, and taking her to the doctor would just get me an 'oh, it's a stomach bug'. I have yet to have to deal with anything stomach related - she's always just had sinus and allergy issues.

This must be your first. Just be mommy. Cuddle with her. Give her lots to drink. Don't force her to eat. Her body will tell her when its time to eat again. Love on her and follow those instincts. Call your mommy too. That's what I did with my first. You'll do fine.
