Oh my gosh, I totally know what you're talking about! There's a little pancake house up there (I think it's Log Cabin Pancake House) that hubby and I drive up there for....I can't wait to go again in June. The BEST pancakes I've ever had. I wish I knew that recipe!
We eat at the Log Cabin in Gatlinburg or the Pancake house just in Front of the Campgrounds where the Parkway inters and exits pigeon Forge to/from Gatlinburg.

If you are looking fopr somethingclose and reasonable, try
West Pines in Douglasville, you will not find a better round
for under 35.00. The course in great shape and the greens
are very good.
I have played Creek side many times and you are correct,
if there is a frost, you will get backed up. They will not start you out
on #10. They just bacj up the tee times. It does get very frustrating
waiting on them. But I love the course itself, especially #18.

It is donw off South Fulton Pkwy Bewteen Douglas and Palmetto.

Is it Bay Breeze or Sea Breeze? I think the one in Mableton is Bay Breeze.
Bay Breeze is in Mableton, the owners Brother wanted a restaurant as well
and he Opened Sea Breeze in Douglasville.
They basically have the same concept, but are actually 2 different restaurants.
Both are very good to me.

I totally agree, there are good cops and bad cops! My friend is in very poor health and I don't even know if he will make it to be able to go to court.
He can be arrested for driving on perscribed drugs as well as illegal drugs.
Maybe that is what caught the cops attention.
Dont know why he would pull someone over, kinda hard to profile someone when the cop car is in front.

I am not a paying member here and for the reason I have yet to see what the benefit would be to me to pay than it is now to be a free member.
I understand it cost to run the site but looks like that would be what the money from the all the different business that put ad's up on here.
Just as in some business it is the owner's only income, Is that the case here that the income from the site is all that Pubby has to live off of?
If it is a big deal that all members should pay then why not take away the free option and the only way people can get on it to pay and see if that makes it better. That still would not make me become a paying member but it might for others.
This is a very good question also, although I paid my membership a while back, (dont know if needs renewing or not), but i thought the advertising had taken over wher the memberships left off. I to dont use this site enough to get a memberships fee out of.
I just dont see how charity giving and memberships here have to do with each other.
Is this site considered a non profit or is someday profits planned?

The only waters fast enough, cold enough, and with enough oxygen are near where they stock the fish, and that is Raccoon Creek between the Silver Comet and the Norfolk Southern tracks. This is I think, some of the land which the November election bond vote is for.
But, the only way to get there unless you have keys to the Temple Inland gates is via the Silver Comet. And they are done for the year....it has been way too hot this summer to support the trout. This ain't New York, and the natural waters here are just not cold enough.
Next April 1st the season will begin again. If the weather is reasonably cool as it was last year you can fish into July. But with the high 90s we had in May and June, it was over this year before it got started good. Last year Mrs S and took home more than 200 trout from there, and some were almost a pound.
Note, I believe your kids are license free until they are 16, but you need to check to make sure.
I appreciate the info, I never fished paulding before, i usually head up to Helen, Blue Ridge or Toccoa.

I have never used this site before but it was brought to my attention that there was a "very hot topic" being discussed and I needed to read it. Well, reading all of these posts definitely got my attention and I wanted to respond.
I am the Medical Director of the ER at Paulding and I'm sure many of you have been treated by me. I do not blame any of you for being upset about this "after hours charge" and I do not take it personally that many of you even singled me out to blame. I do want to explain some very crucial things about this charge that I will hope make things more understandable.
1. This charge ($75) was generated by the insurance companies and government payers, NOT the physicians. This is a nationwide billing code designed to absorb some of the cost for operating a 24 hour facility. Even though this bill goes to the patient (you) under my name, I personally do not get this money...it goes to the ER group. Some of you referred to much higher bills ($500)--this must be a total bill or what your insurance is not paying.
2. Again, this billing code was designed to absorb the extra cost of having a facility open 24 hours/day. But it's an ER! Even so, the nurses/radiology techs/housekeeping all get paid more to work the night shift. (Guess no one likes working the graveyard.) As physicians of this group, though, we do NOT get paid more at night. Our pay is the same regardless of the time of day. Again, we do not get this charge. So why was this charge ever generated? Well, many hospitals hire their ER physicians as employees and those ER docs may get paid more at night. In order to offset some of that cost, this code can make some insurance companies help pay the difference.
3. This leads me to the insurance companies. As you are witness to, many of them are not paying this bill and therefore the cost goes to you, the patient. The bottom line is that they should pay this bill and NOT you. They are fully aware that this is a national/government-generated billing code and not specific to one hospital or physician. Fight them on this.
4. Contrary to what you may think, most of us physicians did not know about this code, so we were not trying to pull a fast one on you. We do not have anything to do with billing...at all. We pick up the chart, see the patient, write any prescriptions, document on the chart and then we are done. This is a relatively new thing (started in January). I think it is unfortunate that you as patients have not been informed of this, and there is a plan in place to remedy that.
5. Lastly, this code is everywhere. Again, it is a national code but perhaps not all billing companies are utilizing it. I know that my group's billing company is and we staff all of the ER's of WellStar (Paulding, Cobb, Kennestone, Douglas), Cartersville, North Fulton and South Fulton.

PS As a personal note, there are other "female physicians" that work here and I cannot see myself telling you as a patient to "suck it up." If someone did, indeed, say that, please inform customer service and I will review.
Can you tell us when these so called after hours begin? That way I can plan my sickness and accidents accordingly.....
Sounds like that Oil Disposal Fee at the tune up clinics to me. Or my those connection fees by the cell phone people..... I sure hope Kroger dont adopt these policies.......

You have 2 pay lakes on Hiram Lithia Between Powder springs and Lithia Springs.
The Christian Catfish Hole and Dunaways lake.
You will catch fish, but be careful, I know Christian Catfish Hole stocks
some whoppers, up to 60+ lbs.
But if anybody finds a good accessible place in Dallas to trout fish, keep me updated or PM me and we will go....

Congrats on the anniversary, my wife and I were married in Gatlinburg in a little chapel across from that log cabin pancake house, I think its now a parking lot for outbacks....
But yep, thats the one, the little old ladies all wear clothes that looks like they are straight out "The Waltons" or something.....
