  1. I think each place might be different. When I worked for Cobb hiring police officers/911 etc, we required that they go back 7 years on employment. We wanted to know what they did the the last 7 years. If they were unemployed or in college we wanted them to list that too.

As far as the involuntary departure, we would require that, but had no way of checking into it if the person didn't list it. But there was always ways to find out like asking some of your other employeers, friends, family, references you list. Not listing a job that ended this way would be a diqualifier for Cobb and the person would never be allowed employement with any Cobb department for leaving it out and/or lying and not listing it.

I wish you the best in your job search.

  2. I think the price is $8.00 or $8.50. It is every Saturday and Sunday from whenever they open to about 1PM, I think. I don't know when they open, sorry.

Let me tell you about this place:

My husband and I heard about this place thru friends and went to try it out. We are so tired of the same resturants with the same things on the menu, but never knowing how they taste because the cook is different each time we go. We are now regular customers. Billy is the owner/chef. He is so friendly especially when he has time away from the kitchen. He will cook to order anything on his menu the way you want it and don't be afraid to ask him to cook something the way you want it. He will. We felt like family by the time we left there. Everything is fresh. If you order something and he says he it out of it it means that what he bought that day has been cooked and eaten. He does not freeze anything.

Some of his menu items we have tried:

Steaks - my husband was amazed at the size for the price. He has a rub he puts on them that is great.

Chicken -My first was the chicken and waffle. Yep chicken and waffle. I never heard of that. I put syrup on it and it was great.

    Meatloaf - OMGosh how wonderful

    Pulled Pork - wonderful

Chicken and Dumplins - also wonderful

    Ham - awesome

Sides - wonderful (spicy black eyed peas, smashed potatoes, corn, green beans, tater salad, kettle chips, pasta salad, cheddar noodles and on and on and on.

We haven't done the breakfast buffet yet, but will this Saturday. We have gone in after the buffet and had breakfast. His french toast is awesome, home taters, grits, eggs etc are awesome.

His location to me is bad. He is in the shopping center behind the Kroger. There are not many open business there.

I can't wait to find out what his new menu items will be. He has told us about 2 stuffed chickens he is gonna try.

He is a local young man. He went to East Paulding. He has worked at many resturants in Atlanta. He wanted to bring his talent to his home town.

Try this place once and believe me you will go back over and over.

  3. We had the pillow case dresses, tutu's and stuff like that we were like the 1st or 2nd booth when you came in

I wish I had known you were there. I would have loved to met you. Me and my sister were down on the end with our jelly/pickles and plarn purses, next the the Tastefully Simple table. I walked around and probably said Hi to you, but I didn't know it was you.

Edited to add: We left around 5:30. There was a semi dark cloud coming and we heard thunder. That was our cue to go. We continuely drank water, but it was soooooo hot.

  4. Mrs. Jack Russell, I didn't know about the craft fair, but if you could pm me details, I would love to set up a booth! And the coupon would definitely be able to be used there...they would just need to print it out beforehand so I can have a paper copy.

I replied to your pm prior to reading this. PM me your email and I'll get you an application. Are you doing Dallasfest at Sara Babb on Aug 1st?

Where is the Craft Fair going to be?

It's going to be at my church...Hickory Heights Baptist Church 221 Dabbs Bridge Road, it's on the corner of Hwy 61N in NE Paulding. My DIL and I are running it. I can pm you more info if you are interested. It's on Aug 7th.

  5. I'm probably the only one on the board who used the Dixie Speedway track photographer for my wedding. rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

However, the wedding pictures were great. BUT, he LEFT to go to another event and we were left with his wife for the reception. I was very disappointed with those. :( My reception pics were more like snapshots anyone could have taken than really capturing the event.

LOL Madea. I was with my best friend and her boy friend when he asked her to marry him at DIXIE SPEEDWAY. LOL

  6. Sending you a pm

Edited to add: Can you post info for persons not on p.com to request a booth? I am a member of West Georgia Crafts and I would like to get the info out to the other members. (via pm would be okay)

    Thanks.

  7. I know I'm not gonna have much help for you, but I just want to share an issue I had so you can avoid it. Your laptop is 10 years old, but what Windows program is it running? Mine had Vista on it and the printer wouldn't even work when it was attached to it. Several downloads of drivers didn't work. So part of the thing you have to look at is what windows program your laptop is on and what windows program your printer will work with. All that to say is that your printer and laptop have to like each other. LOL

There are lots of computer people here to give you great advice. Being a holiday weekend it might be slow around here.

    Good Luck.

  8. Hello. I couldn't help but notice you joined P.com YESTERDAY and in your 3rd post you are bashing THE MOST POPULAR DRIVER IN NASCAR. Did you just join and post to get people's feathers ruffled???? If so, mission accomplished.

Junior IS NASCAR and the reason the majority of fans continue to watch. As someone else said, "he is good for the sport." Yeah many of his initial fans were because of who his Dad was and what his last name is and many of those have moved on to a different driver. So what if he hasn't won a race in 76 or whatever it is races?? My Dale Jr flag continues to fly outside my home. I was going to NASCAR races at Talladega when the Alabama Gang, Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, etc, etc, dominated the tracks. DH and I were DIE HARD DW fans.............until the end and he had not won a race in a Long, Long time. I am a FAN.......and not a fair weather fan of whoever is in victory lane. As a sports business owner I can attest that Junior continues to be the #1 seller. PERIOD. I also recall exactly what I sold when Matt Kenseth WON the Championship: ONE car tag and ONE bumper sticker!!!!

With this being said: Am I disappointed Junior has not performed better on the track?? YES. Am I going to not be a Junior fan because of it? NO.

    No explaination necessary.

    Just sayin..........

    :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

You know Tony is my driver...with Jr second. Jr is an important part of NASCAR and will probably always be as a driver and then a owner. I hope he does better, but even if he doesn't, I still like watching him race. He is and will always be an exciting driver. You just never know how each race will pan out. I am sure other car owners would give just about anything to have them drive for them. Dale Jr = $$$$$

  9. Vito's Cafe (Business Member here) is having a craft show May 22nd. You may check with them to see if you can have a booth. The price for a 10X10 booth is $25.00 I think.

Also our church has a craft type show in August. I'll get the information on pcom when we get a date.

Check out Woodstock Open Market. It's on Hwy 92 in Woodstock at the old K-Mart or Walmart building. They have shows every weekend and special shows the first weekend of the month. Not sure if they have any booths other than craft vendors, but you could check. They have a website. Just google it and you will find it.

There were a couple of threads here about festivals in Georgia. You can search for it or maybe someone can find it for you and put the link in this thread.

  10. Now we have a problem ... I just found out my little one has a dance recital that day and I was hoping you'd put some of my stuff in your booth.

Well Dang! I would have done this for you, but I can't. Life is getting in the way of craft shows....oh no~!
