  1. Channel 11 on Wednesday nights either 8 or 9:00. It is about a group of teenagers (boyfriend and girlfriend) who want marriage, children, etc. They place each couple in their own house, make the teenage girls wear the contraptions that make them look/feel pregnant- then they go to parenting classes. They are given a pretend baby that at any given second can try, need to be fed, have a wet/dirty diaper- then they bring in the real babies (couples actually loaned them their child for 3 or 4 days to care for) for them to be responsible for. They have to actually get a job and work because there is no food in the house, they have to feed and take care of these babies on their own. I believe as the show goes on, they will bring in the toddlers and then eventually the elderly to care for.

I think it is a good life lesson.

  2. My "real" grandmother died of Liver cancer at the age of 63 and I was 11, she was my mother, since my birth mother wasnt present. So my grandmothers best friend who was and is my 2nd grandmother, who really took over after my grandmothers death, we got the call today that she was sent home from the hospital with stage 4 lung cancer and given 1 month to live. I am devestated. This brings me back to the day that my "NONIE" (what i called her) died, I am so upset.

She has been having abdomen pains and a really bad cough for a few months now, she went to the dr a week ago and they did a cat scan, saw alot of fluid, and took some blood, they told her to go home and after the test came back they would call her, she started running a fever that night, so she went to the ER and they put her in the hospital on monday, and ran some more test and found the cancer, sent her home today with hospice. she has been a smoker for as long as I have known her, she is in her 70's. :( Her name is Norma Smith.

Life is so confusing. I just dont understand why this stuff happens. :(

I'm so sorry to hear this- prayers sent your way. Cancer is evil. I watched both of my grandfathers die from it and I felt so helpless because there was nothing I could do to help them

  3. Great post! You are so right about people jumping the gun, and giving out the wrong info. I can't stand it when people think they know what they are talking about, but really have no clue.

Hope your pal has a full recovery.

I couldn't agree more. Well said- I hope your pal has a full recovery as well.

  4. I changed my topic title to Kids Clothing Sale because it is strictly kids clothes and things related to just kids. I changed it from "Consignment" because I'm not taking my clothes elsewhere to sell them or have someone sell them for me. I am having it at my house. It's not a yard sale because I have no other household items to sell. I have also done Consignment Sales where I have taken my clothes to other places. I have nothing else to have a "yard sale". My prices are not high (in my opinion). For example- I have an Old Navy skort that I have priced at $1.00. It is in really good condition. I do have all of my clothes tagged with prices, but for the clothes I have, the prices are very low. I look at it like this, if I sell them at my home, I don't have to price my clothes higher to cover for the 30% that I would be losing if I took them someplace else.

  5. No you were not wrong- after a while it gets old of people "using" you and the sooner you realize it and put a stop to it, the better off you will be. There are many people out there who want something for nothing and it irritates the snot out of me.

  6. Sounds like sooo much fun - we head to Disney in a week! Vader and I are more excited than our 2 kiddos!

I love Disney! I am excited for you all. I always get more excited than the kids do for some reason. Our next "big" vacation will probably to Sea World/Busch Gardens.

  7. I wouldn't be comfortable with it either. Maybe you need to pose for her and see just what is being said between them. Then if they get out of line light into his ass!!!

I like this idea- I would probably pose as my daughter just to see.

  8. We wanted to do something a little different for their dad (my husband) for Father's Day. So, we searched and came up with this idea. We bought lots of different candy bars and included sayings on them like: Dad, we thought you could use another "PayDay" and attached it to a PayDay candy bar; Dad, you are a "Lifesaver" and attached it to a roll of Lifesavers. We put may different candy bars in it and this is the result. I am so excited over this because I love doing stuff like this that we may have to give it to him tonight!
