    Soapmom, mrshoward,cuteyellowbug, give it up, there is no changing these peoples attiude. It's the "God is on my side" belief that lets them be as ugly and self-serving as they want to be. They will keep arguing no matter what is said. It's more about their ego's than their beliefs and they've decided to become the standard bearer for their beliefs, all they wish is conflict with others otherwise they would be alittle more secure in their beliefs, otherwise they would not need books that belittle other faiths to parade around that their way is the only way...

     

    ...Just turn the other cheek, I think I read that somewhere...

    A reference to the Lands of Lemuria, a late 19th, early 20th mystisism take on some of the Atlantis legends. I think it was supposedly located in the Pacific, I haven't read much on the Lemurian Legend in a long time but it belongs to the time of Victorian England, Hudini was big into the stuff if I remember right...

    Mr Martin IS entitled to his OPINIONS... Opinions be what they may...

    ... Jesus's mimistry is of love and respect, and he was respectul, from his trial to the cross. Mr. Martin is disrepectful in his opinions through comparmentalization, a disservice to Christ, whos ways of evanglization were infinantly better than any Mr Martin can showcase.

    Ever been to Haveli in Marietta? Indian food, I love it!!! Has all the spices and very tasty, but not burning hot on the tounge

    Then you've never had the Shrimp Vindooloo from there! You wanna talk about HOT!!!! After 2 bites I was outside eatin' fistfulls of dirt to try and put out the fire!

     

    ...then that night sittin' in a tub of Ice water to extinguish the flame of hell coming outta my backside. I kept yellin' "Don't anybody scream cheezefire! Cause it'll kill everybody on the planet!".

    Why doesn't it surprise me that most of old media has totally igonred this. Air America, their much applauded answer to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Fox News has been caught taking money from the poor kids and old folks of New York.

    Why if that had been a major conservative network, like Limbaugh's, why there would have been breaking news coverage! For the first 20mins of the nightly liberal whine on ABC, NBC, CBS and especially CNN, you would have sworn they'd dug up homeless children buried behind Rush Limbaugh's house! There would be calls for congressional investigations! Led by the noble Sen. Hillary Rotten, preaching from her soapbox-soon-to-be-presidential platform calling for 'reform' in the industry! Every major rag in the country would have banner headlines "BASTARDS" emblazioned across the front page along with TV reporters interviewing every coherant, well coached, 'homeless' person in the street.

     

    ... But alas, this isn't news for the media. Probably a republican-led smear campaign cooked up by the evil republican national organization that feeds all the conservative talk show host their agendas everyday. Not news at all...

    So basically "Why can't we all just get along"?  Sigh! (warm and fuzzy).

     

    There is no greater threat to a peaceful humanity than humanity itself.  As long as humanity exists at least one individual will seek personal elevation through dominance.  So who is right?  The last and only human left alive right before the extinction of the species. 

     

    As for my beliefs I do not hail to any banner and do not wish ill will upon any one. 

    Also thanks for the original post.  I believe some tend to lump all non believers into the  infidel lot.  Sorry wrong hemisphere.  Should have said "All non believers into y'ain't chrustian".

    Nice post... SOME people just have thin skins and take any disscusion on the subject as a personal afront, so secure in their faith that they just have to "set people straight". Mind you now,and this is the most important part of this statement, IT IS BOTH CHRISTIANS AND PEOPLE OF OTHER FAITHS WHO CAN TAKE THIS ATTIUDE. And I'm not just talking of personal attacks, but talking down to people and taking an arrogant tone in the disscussion, that person will ASSUME to suddenly be the standard bearer of his/her faith and his/her soul in heaven is at stake if he/she doesn't take up the flag. Therefor it's "OK" for that person to act the way he/she does because "God is on my side". I know of a group of men who took that attiude also, then flew passenger jets full of people into buildings because "God is on my side". In short "religion" are these peoples reason for exsistance, to doubt their "religion" is to doubt them and their exsistance in this world...

     

    ... I'm probably get a mountain of flaming hate post for this... :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

    That's weird! I'm a poplar, I make walking sticks decorative staves, AND MY WOOD OF CHOICE IS POPLAR! I never knew why, but I just prefer poplar!

    Maybe she'll strap-on 20lbs of explosives and have herself videotaped with other foriegn fighters on a suicide run, or maybe videotape her with a terrorist kidnapper group as they slice the head off another civillian contract or foriegn-aid worker... :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

     

    She needs to find something else to do...
