First, a new concessions work schedule has been posted for the last two home games, October 31st and November 7th.
Senior night has been moved from October 31st to November 7th, so the concessions assignments have been changed. You can access the new work schedule at the Band of Gold Website. Thanks to the many, many parent volunteers who have made the concessions successful this year.
Please send in bottled water for us to take on the truck to Saturday's band competition.
Every Band family should be providing volunteers for our Georgia Invitational Band Championship on Saturday, October 25th. Please step up. Band reps will be contacting you this week to give you an assignment if you have not yet volunteered. We hope to make the day a fun and memorable day for the 1,000-plus students who will be in attendance. We know you'll do your fair share to help. The Band performance schedule has been posted on the website.
The Fruit Sale "profit opportunity" has been distributed to your students. Please make sure you review the materials right away. The fruit sale is always a very popular one.

The Georgia Invitational Band Championship, hosted by the Hiram High School Band of Gold, is approaching. The annual event, held at Hiram High School, will take place on October 25th, beginning at 2 p.m. Admission is $7.00; admission for children 6 and under is free.
Nineteen terrific bands will perform over the day-long competition! Check out the visiting bands and the judging information on the Band of Gold website.
Concessions will be available throughout the day, with a BBQ dinner available during dinner hours. Souvenirs will also be sold.
Band volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks throughout the day. Please step up and volunteer! We need you to make this a memorable day for all the participating band students. Contact Tracey Gossett, GIBC Coordinator, to volunteer.

We had a great alumni crowd last night! Many brought their instruments, marched in with the Band of Gold and joined in playing the National Anthem. I think the unofficial alumni attendance count was about 40.
Thanks to all the former Band of Gold students for joining us for the Homecoming evening! The alumni door prizes were awarded during half-time. Mermaidmom has the list of winners. Maybe she'll chime in ...

According to the AJC:
31 - 26 East Paulding @ North Cobb
7 - 56 Paulding County @ Sprayberry
28 - 42 North Paulding @ Aquinas
3 - 7 South Paulding @ Hiram
I think that's all of them.
SG
Hiram 7, SPHS 3. It was 0 -0 until late in the 3rd quarter. A very interesting game.

I have noticed from posts here that there are many families in Paulding who have children with disabilities. Here's a news article of note.
There are also Katie Beckett Medicaid training materials attached to the video training noted in the article.

Thanks for the heads up Mikey. Our shop will probably be right in the middle of it!!
Enjoy the music. The Cafe at the starting point will make some business. The parade used to go down past the restaurant row in Hiram, but it appears they'd rather not have us there. Shame. Hundreds of people used to leave their cars parked there and walk over to dinner at the restaurants. No more. We'll stop by the cafe for a coffee. Maybe McFarlane's for dinner since we'll be in that area.

Can you list which roads will be blocked.
Pretty please?
The route follows Seaboard, as far as I know.

I voted and Go Raiders!!!!!
PS I did see Hiram and they're band is awesome as well!! Dont know about the others (being on the list), but we ought to flood WSB from all our schools!
We're there. Out of Alpha order!

Just a heads up ...
The Hiram High Homecoming Parade will take place tomorrow afternoon, starting at the Hiram Community Center and ending near Hiram Elementary. The parade participants will be gathering from about 4:30 pm. The parade starts at 6 pm.
Commuters may want to steer clear of the area.

On Friday, I saw a cake she had made for the Hiram Hornets. It looked really good.

I thought the Patriot band sounded very good at last week's game. I have to admit, I was one of those people asking what the tarps were about.
Good to luck to your band in your competitions this year!
