  2. You are speaking of the "carry law" that passed early this year. The above is a line that was crossed out in the changes to the zero tolerance law for school districts. The original zero tolerance law has been changed to allow school districts leeway in deciding punishment and it intended to take some of the felony convictions that are really high among high school students because of the original law a chance for lesser charges.   4. Why is this a big deal? Oh yeah, because she's a democrat. I see these ads for all the candidates and the signs on the side of the road too and none of them specify party! They are "Conservative" but not republican. Of course, I know I'm barking up a dead tree, but I get so tired of the junk that is said from all sides when they are equally guilty. When you go in to vote - and I certainly hope you will vote - you have a choice, use it.
  5. Detective Don Spurlin of the Paulding County's Sheriff's Office has died after a long illness. Arrangements for viewing and funeral are being handled by Jennings Heritage at 1148 N. Broad Street, NE in Rome Georgia. Visitation is Monday 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Tuesday 12:00 - 2:00 pm Funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel.
