  1. OK, When is the perp's name going to be released. The PCSO stated they were withholding pending the notification of his parents. Where are they? On a 3 day cruise with Gilligan? Why does every other sheriffs department and police force around Atlanta have a spokesperson who is very forthcoming with the facts of incidents and arrests, yet getting info out of PCSO is like trying to pull hen's teeth. They are very tight lipped with information which leads to concerns of why. I want to see a Police Blotter Report like they post in Cartersville which lists the name of every person arrested, where arrested, why arrested and such. This would be a very nice addition to Paulding.Com.

  2. I met Patsy Ramsey and she was a very nice, caring person. I think the media and law enforcement with tunnel vision are to blame that so many people suspect her or John in the murder. The media was also shoving the blame down Polly Klause's father's throat when luckly for him the true killer was caught. If that had not have happened he would have been suspected or charged with the murder of his daughter as well. So sad that people have to live through the vicious murder of a child and then be blamed for it.

  3. I wouldn't trust his boss either. Anybody that would employ someone as sorry as this moron can't be that reliable of a person either. Or he also lied to the boss about the check being stolen. Did he file a police report? If no, then its pure BS. He is just scamming you again. He is waiting for you to be arrested and then going to grab the kids and bid you farewell. Don't be surprised when it happens!!!

  4. As long as the shooter is responsible, a person should be able to shoot a rifle on a half acre lot. Provided that the shooter has an appropriate backstop to halt the progression of the bullets. If the shooter is irresponsible then he should not be allowed to own a gun or shoot one at all.

  5. There is also another traffic law that people like to ignore. When a person has a motor vehicle accident it is a law that you are to move your vehicle out of the roadway. "Steer and Clear" However, everytime someone slightly bumps someone, they will sit in the middle of the road for an hour waiting on the Ga State Patrol to arrive.

  6. Here is a link that compares waitstaff duties to pizza delivery drivers. Very interesting.

    Tip The Pizza Guy

Found this on a tipping etiquette site:

    Tip etiquette

Reasons for tipping (if you don't already know)

    I. The tip is your expression of gratitude for the driver's service

    II. Tipping empowers the customer

III. Tips are necessary for the job

    I. The tip is your expression of gratitude for the driver's service

It shows you appreciate the service.

Delivery is a CONVENIENCE. It feels so good to have it delivered for you.

You don't have to get it yourself.

Or waste your time, energy, and gas.

The driver endured weather and traffic for you.

You can watch TV or do things around the house instead.

How much is that worth? because your time is valuable.

The tip shows that you value the driver's work.

It just feels good to tip.

It shows that you're a good person. It's a good thing to do.

    It shows you have class.

Tipping is common courtesy. It's customary.

    Not tipping is considered

    rude and unheard of

    inconsiderate

    ungrateful for the service

as if delivery meant nothing to you

If one does not tip, they

    take advantage of the driver

steal the services of the driver

insult and waste the driver's valuable time

This is assuming the service was okay. If something was seriously wrong, please see When not to tip or if something else seemed wrong, please see the Objections page for more information.

Even in New York City, it is considered the height of rudeness not to tip your delivery person. (This was submitted and echoed by several NYC residents.)

Pizza delivery drivers are motivated by money as much as anyone. Those who repeatedly tip usually get their pizzas first.

    return to top

    II. Tipping empowers the customer

It lets you reward excellent and poor service accordingly.

Otherwise, you would pay the same regardless of the quality of service.

It motivates the driver in a job that tests one's patience.

III. Tips are necessary for the job

Tips mean everything to the driver. That's why they deliver. Without it, there's no point keeping the job.

Without it, drivers only receive minimum wage. They use their own car. They pay for their own gas and repairs.

They end up making less than minimum wage, without tips, when you include the cost of operating a car.

It's assumed that tips will cover those expenses. Their employers assume they will receive tips.

If delivery was minimum wage, everyone would quit. There are plenty of minimum wage jobs that don't wear down your car.

Drivers do not use a company car.

Pizza Drivers risk their cars and lives in traffic

risk robbery, assault, and murder on the job

are targets for criminals because they carry food and money

In addition to driving, they do a lot of in-store work. For more information, please see Other duties of a delivery driver.

They search for houses, which isn't easy. It's not like finding your own house. Many addresses don't have noticeable numbers. For more information, please see the House numbers page.

This is not supposed to be a minimum wage job.

  7. The pizza companies claim that the new delivery charge is to help absorb the higher cost of delivering the ingredients to each individual store. The poor delivery guy is having to pay almost double what gas cost a year ago. Believe it or not, 10-15% of the people who order pizza and have it delivered do not tip the driver. So, the poor driver is actually spending a couple of his own dollars for you to enjoy your fresh, hot pizza. Tip these people folks, they deserve it!!!

  8. An accident occurred a little after 4pm on Saturday on Bakers Bridge Rd @ New Path. One car ran off shoulder of road, overcorrected and hit the other car head on dead center. The front ends of both cars were smashed in up to the windshields. Third car was involved and ran off into the woods. Three patients were life flighted from Kroger.

Does anyone know the condition of the victims of this accident?

  9. I saw accident scene. Head on collision. Small red import (Nissan?) vs white sedan (Chevrolet Cobalt). Front ends virtually gone. I heard crash happen. Horrible sound. No tire sqealing which means no one had time to put on their brakes. Looked like third vehicle also involved. Red Explorer in woods.

  10. I started a post this morning about activity at 634 Hardy Way, Hiram where many were arrested Thursday night. I think this topic is important and should enlighten us to the drug problem we are facing in our community. Many got off topic and it was moved. Please stay focused on the drug problem on this topic.

    Thank you!!!

(Original Post)Let's just say....... this house has activity like a small Walmart. Large numbers of people in and out of this house round the clock. Little short visits, kinda like stopping in at a convenience store. You know, just pick up what you need real quick and go. Yard stays full of cars. Seven there right now! (4/28/06 9:00am). This house is frequented by many of our Paulding County teenagers, male & female.

Drive by and take a look & see what you think! Take a picture and send to the sheriff's office. Call the sheriff's office about the activity at this house. They need to know what goes on here and continue to make arrests at this location.

As a community, we need to start outing these types of houses until they no longer exist in our county.

(A Response to my Original Post by Capt. Roberts with the Hiram Police Department)To all of those interested, this home is in the City Limits of Hiram. We are aware of this home and it's suspicious activity and it has been a place of interest for quite some time.. Last night the activity that everyone was talking about was dealt with by the Tri County Drug Task Force. And yes there was thirteen arrests! I would say "GREAT JOB"!!!! To all involved. I know the public sometimes would like things done right on the spot, thats very understandable. But sometimes to make em stick and to make em count investigations must be done and unfortunetley it takes time. Niether here nor there, what the Drug Task Force did last night was great for the City of Hiram and for Paulding County. Congrats to all involved great job!

Thank you!! Capt. Roberts and the Tri County Task Force for a job well done.
