I have a yellow lab she is 10 and I remember it taking alot of time. but we didnt crate train. And Labs love to crew for about two years. She ate the plastic bumper on my car when it was in the garage and some sheet rock on the wall

Are you talking something other than the lint screen that you're supposed to clean before every load anyway?
I use dryer sheets and I clean off a lot more other stuff than dryer sheet material. just want to make sure that this is no something else that I wasn't aware of.
Your lint screen should be washed every so often because if you use dryer sheets and wipe the lint off there is stuff that you cant see still on the screen take it out and put some water on it to test if the water does not run though it right away it needs to be washed with soap
