  1. Greetings all,

I'm fairly new to Paulding (2+ months now) and I love it here. I just want to know who some of these roads, parks, and lakes are named after.

I live near Lake Ramona. Who is Ramona, who owns the lake, how was it created, etc? Can we fish on the lake?

Who is Charles Hardy, Bill Carruth, Virgie Ballentine, Jimmy Lee Smith, Wendy Bagwell, C.W. Sims, etc?

I would really love to know! I'm sure there are plenty of others I haven't listed.

    Thanks!

Wendy Bagwell was well known in the Southern Gospel Music.

  2. We could not have ask for a better hospital and staff than what we recieved while our son was going through his battle with cancer and we even still have some of the staff that stay in touch with us after his passing 3 1/2 years ago. If you ever spend any time there you need to have the computer guy Morris visit your room. He will always bring smiles to your childs face. The clowns are always a joy for the kids to see....

  3. So, 278 to almost Cedartown, turn right onto 101 past cedartown high, turn right at the walmart onto 27 then right onto highway 53?It's the 1.5 mile hike to the waterfall I want to do-my 3 year old can hike at least 3 miles at a time w/o rest so we can do that.
278 to Rockmart, ( turn right at the light at Ingles, Mcdonalds, Triangle Foods) Take that to 27 as you are going to Summerville and take right on to 53... I am sorry I am not good with directions but I have been there so many times.
you could go that way. lot of construction though. quicker to go take a right on 101 in rockmart, just past sonic, mcdonalds, etc. then continue into rome, go all the way into rome 101 will turn into dean st. then go straight through the light onto turner mccall, then you will see signs for 27 north.
    Yea what she said....
  4. LR your dad as well as you and the family are in our prayers. It is so hard when you know you are getting to the end of time. Reading this took me back to Seth's last visit with his doctor when he said he was done with treatment and he wanted to enjoy his last days. Just know we are here if you need us for anything.

  5. This is a GREAT cause.... We have a team every year in memory of our son that passed away from cancer, however the last two years have been hard as the relay was on his birthday. It is always great to see so many people in the County come out and support the Relay for Life....Good Luck with you team and the most important thing is we are all fighting for a cure.

  6. Thanks for the support, P.commers. I just got back a few minutes ago after a 10-mile run this morning. I'm feeling pretty well, especially since the temperature has dropped in the last few weeks.

TNT: In terms of meeting the fundraising goal, I'm making progress. I received an e-mail from my brother last week the day after the Sheik was killed following his meeting with President Bush. My brother was about a mile from the explosion, and would have treated the Sheik if he had survived the explosion. He said things are pretty tense right now.

    Thanks again.

Glad to see that progress is being made towards your goal. I still have to get my donation to you.
