Yes, Golden took the money and ran, and they lost their money. They weren't the only ones that lost money, a few others did too.

I don't know how he did it, but a friend of mine lost $8000 they put down on a house off Old Cartersville Rd. and when they were told they had to sue to get their money back, they were told to "get in line". It's a shame that builders can do this to ordinary people. They had been saving their money for a LONG TIME to buy that house. They weren't the only ones that got screwed, everyone that put money down to buy a house lost it.
