Democrats (elected officials) didn't want anything changed, they just wanted to use the issue against Trump. So did the establishment Republicans.
Problem is...it's not actually going to be as easy as signing an E/O.

About time. He could have done this days ago, but he kept stating that his hands were tied, it was the Dems' fault and it was up to Congress to fix it.
Now, I hope and pray they can reunite those kids/babies back with their families quickly, but I'm afraid there is not a plan in place.
All in all, this whole thing has been an inhumane clusterfark.
His hands are still tied by the Flores settlement.
Lawsuits are being filed as we speak...
It is up to the courts and Congress to sort it out now...

This was not an issue (of any great proportion except some cherry picked photos but not nearly what it has grown into) before trump decided to separate children from their parents so why did it blow up? I wonder if there is something else going on and this is just another diversion tactic.
No one wants these people released into this country without the proper requirements being met. Again, I wonder what is motivating these people to try and cross illegally when they know what the consequences are. Why aren’t we hearing more about this side of the story? Some are saying they want asylum because they are being prosecuted, I would like to have more info.

Are you seriously going to say that ANYONE is suggesting that a “pinky promise” as a legal way to gain entry is the way to go? I get the impression that you are being condescending. When you are ready to have a “grown up” discussion on this issue, let me know.
The alternative to seperation of these families is to either release them into the United States pending
adjudication of their asylum claims or to place the children in adult detention centers with their parents.
Which one do you support ? ? ?
(BTW: You cannot "support legal entry" and oppose real border security at the same time.)

I support legal entry and I am asking myself just how bad does the threat that they are feeling need to be for these parents to be separated from their children? I would like to find a video that explains this rationale.

Democrats did not require the separation of children from their parents. The existing LAW does not call for the separation of children from their parents PERIOD. It is the POLICY of the trump administration that the children and parents be separated. That policy can be changed by trumps pen. There is no need for congress to approve anything. The situation is being milked by trump as an opportunity to lie to the American people AGAIN.
I don’t know which is crazier, the lies, or the fact that the trump followers are believing what he is saying. Talk about people being sheep.

I agree, the whole thing boils down to political bullcheeze. However, for me personally, Im reacting from a simple humanitarian place; Im a father who is raising three children alone, and the sight and sound of any child crying out in desperation for a parent, kicks me deep in the gut.
Where's your humanitarian soft spot for all of those American parents who suffer
permanent seperation because their children were murdered by illegal immigrants ? ? ?

And that just exacerbates the inhumanity of the entire scheme because, for Trump, it is only about winning the political battle to build the wall and destroying the lives by orphaning hundreds if not thousands of little children; well, that is collateral damage and he don't give a damn. It is painfully obvious to EVERYONE that this entire crisis is a political ploy on the part of Trump who thinks he can lay blame on the Democrats for not accepting his dictates contained in his proposed immigration law.
That law contains nothing about changing the provisions regarding these children, rather it imposes more onerous provisions including billions to build that stupid wall.
This whole thing is Trump trying to strong arm the congress to do something stupid as the only avenue he presents to have him stop kidnapping these innocent children and holding them hostage. This is terrorism not unlike the abduction of school children by fundamentalist Muslim groups in North Africa.

Unlike Obama Trump is weaponizing children and using them as a bargaining chip. A policy of blackmailing congress into advancing his agenda.
To be clear: the Obama administration’s use of ATEP wasn’t intended to break-up families–that was an expected side effect–while Trump’s recently-confirmed policy is expressly directed toward that end in the name of “deterrence.”
Trump's agenda is to secure the border.
Trump has indicated that he would sign a bill to change the law on child detention,
in exchange for border security to prevent future illegal entry. The Democrats refuse
to fund border security.
They support open borders and unfettered entry for all of Central and South America.
They support decreased quality of life for American citizens and taxpayers.
They don't care about your children or mine.
They don't care about children at the border.
This is 100% political.

This is the narrative documented in the press. I am confident that when Robert Mueller III presents his report, it will detail these charges documented with statements under oath and contemporaneous documents. Considering that Mueller's investigation has the benefit of dozens of investigators and prosecutors and has spent a bit over a year documenting these acts at a cost of millions would dwarf my effort.
Still, here is an article about this, our nations most huge scandal: link. A lot of books have been written and a lot more will be written documenting this, our worst president.
That these individual scandals seem to be 'news' to you suggests to me that you're media diet seams to be missing substance.

PS: Did you note that Roger Stone, who for the past 20 months has denied having ever met with a Russian, admitted today that a Russian agent came to him in May 2016 offering to sell him Hillary's emails for $2 million?
He said he turned them down and kind of bs'ed about why he forgot the meeting for the past two years. That these folks lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and you still believe them makes you a sucker. How can you believe anything they say? I know I don't, which frankly is of great aid when it comes to remembering how many things they've lied about as they seek to bury us all in their deceit.
