[Need help finding GA ornament]

Your best shot will probally be at a souveneir shop--maybe around the Marietta Square. I did see a really nice UGA ornament at Kohl's last night--just a thought. I know that there is this little shop in downtown Kennesaw ( the old part of town)that has really unusual ornaments---very unique--we usually try to go there every year and check out her new stuff.

[CAn anyone tell me why Hiram is so far behind?]

If anyone remembers---Billy Grant ran against Mr. Pendley in the last election and only lost by a very small margin. Mr. Grant was the Chief of Police for many years in Hiram and was always a very fair man.

Has anyone else heard that the reason some of the businesses are moving out of Hiram is because of their high alcohol taxes(re: Publix and maybe the Kroger). It is my understanding that the taxes in the City of Hiram are almost double of what they are in the county. Can you blame these businesses???

I have lived here all of my life, my father was a business man in the county for years, raised 3 children here and I can't say that I like everything that has gone on here, but things have to change. In some ways--it is nice not to have to go to Marietta or D'ville to do your shopping---but there is always a price to pay.

[Deer are on the move]

I almost hit a deer this morning on the way to work. It was on 92 north almost at Crossroads. I guess all of the subdivisions and the new Kroger are getting to them. Luckily I was going slower because of the rain and there wasn't anyone behind me. This thing had a huge rack on it. Would have done some major damage. I will definately watch closer in that area on my way to work from now on.

The old red and white building that sttod where Hollywood Video is now was originally built by the Petty's. When they closed--Ramsey's opened there. I actually worked at Ramsey's for a short period of time in high school. My mom bought all of her meats there(as did alot of PC people back then).

I know this may sound funny---but I seem to remember hearing about the incident at the hospital in the 70's. Everybody used to hang out at the Dairy Queen and Denton's and I think I remember who some of the guys were, but I wouldn't want to mention their names---they are model citizens these days!!!!!!

[10-50 2 vehicles-injuries]

My best friend's son was the owner of this vehicle(Mustang), he is Grady still in ICU, but doing better. He was not driving. He was the patient that had to be cut out of the back seat. The weather(fog) was the contributing factor to this wreck. His was the only major injury, I think one or two others were just checked out at the hospital and released. Please keep him in your prayers---so far all of the prayers have worked miracles.

[New Kroger at 278 and 61]

I have heard that Kroger and some of the other businesses are wanting to move out of the City of Hiram because their alcohol tax is almost double of what it is in the county. You would think that Hiram would be willing to cut that tax to keep these businesses, but then again---I have lived here all of my life--and Hiram has always done things WRONG!!!!
