  1. These are sweet. How much do they go for$$$???

I could see some really cute graduation gifts. You know fill them up with paper, laundry soap, pencils, ramen noodles...ect...

The small ones are $15. and the large ones are $25. That is CHEAP compared to most. I've seen them for $40 UN-monogrammed....

  2. Let's try it THIS way :D

These are the small ones...The Large ones are 3x the size. You can fit 2 small ones inside of one large. They are FULLY collapsible!

I love those market totes. I was room mom last year and the teacher got me one these. They are awesome I use for everything pool, beach, ballfield and just in the car to hold things snacks & crayons.

Do you have the totes in Orange?

No orange for now....but I'm adventuring into making my own. So that you can have a UGA one or Betty Boop instead of just the solid colors.

    Sorry :(

  3. I so sorry UnionMom :(....by the way...I have one of those calico shubakun (or something other) but didn't know they were so pricey or a big deal...K calls him yellow because of the yellow stripe on his nose....

  4. I have to admit, this one has me a little concened. I know most people have been recovering, but this is in its early stages and is expanding exponentially every hour. Kind of glad to not be working with my usual population, and glad my husband works in the backyard. Concerned about my son working in a job where he deals with the public, and will be glad when my daughter finishes her finals and gets home from school.

Right now, not making any changes in my lifestyle, but I am planning to start buying some extra groceries in case the stores end up having to close for a while, or in case we get the flu here.

I truly hope this is like the threats of snow we always get around here. A lot of hype and we completely miss any of it around here. Don't think that will be the case though.

    nicely said!! :good:

  5. My little one is pretty much still just into ponytails but she's starting to like clippies more. I think of the ones shown, she would most like this one:

Maybe try to come up with a few different animal/color choices, too. Not just the white/hello kitty.

Thanks *other* mommy!! I agree! I'm going to try!

  6. While $15 may seem high to a lot of people for the "Boutique" Bows (the large ones) it is not out of line for what they sell for. And yes, $8 for the others. These take a TON of ribbon and a TON of time to make and they may not sell here on p.com, but they would sell like CRAZY at large Craft shows in Cobb County like the Jonquil Festival or any of the festivals on the Square in Marietta. But again, I know how expensive they are to make and the time involved. All I can say is I sold a good many of them there at those prices at craft festivals!

    Scarlet

    ps...the small ones I sold for $5.00 each...sold every one! ;)

Thank you Scarlet! We are hoping to get into those NEXT year so maybe I'll bring them out there  Thanks for your input!!

I would pay that much for a cute bow - especially if I need one to match one of the princess's outfits. The princess has lost a good number of hair bows since she was born two years ago, but I tend to keep better track of the more expensive hairbows and bring those out for pictures, church or special occasions.

Thank you Lisa! Your opinion helps!!

  7. Let me qualify my question, before I ask; I'm a guy. Now, what are they?

    Hair Bows? OK

I complete understand why you wouldn't buy them  and yes they are bows :)

    hair bows

I love them. I like them a lot. I just can never put that much for hair bows. I know how much they can cost. It is crazy. But I get why they cost so much. I just cant put that much money into hair bows. That is for me though. If I were rich I would buy a ton of them :)

Well actually the prices you stated were what I was going to sell them for if not cheaper. BUT....what my friend sells them for is different. Her prices are $15 for the big one and then the characters are $8  huh?? But she gets paid that much! More power to her! She is AMAZING and does AMAZING work so she deserves it!!

    nope

    Thank you!

Yes, $4 or $5 for the big ones, and $2 or $3 for the little ones.

    REALLY?!?!

The more people that say "yea" the more I'm thinking of just doing few....We'll see :ninja:

  8. Thank you to EVERYONE that has posted their comments~

The reason I ask is because this is a project a friend is doing and is trying to sucker me into joining. I was wishy-washy about it but I agree with most of you....They are HUGE!!! and ALL over the place but it isn't what I like it is the Consumer that matters :) :pardon:

    Thanks again!!

  9. MDB....I agree... because you are commerce member and so am I.... but if someone one here wants to do catering...or making a cake everynow and then...hey..go for it... but if you are making this your JOB (PT or FT)...and not a hobby to fill in the extra income of you being a SAHM.... then you need to buy a FULL CM.

I can make hairbows...and sell them... (but I don't have business of doing that. I work full-time. PLUS I do side jobs in engineering & advertising....) but I don't do that on here (selling bows) because it will step on YOUR toes and others who have this type of business...

I completely agree!! Anyone can make hairbows (just like anyone can cook ^_^) but when do you have time?? As a SAHM and Sole Proprietor....The expenses are higher than the income sometimes (if not all the time). So for a SAHM, the website upkeep, the advertising, the memberships, etc. sometimes it would be cheaper to just consider it a hobby/craft work.

But I fully understand (and GREATLY appreciate) you not stepping on my toes or anyone else's and I hope and pray that Sugarbritches, LGM, and Sage don't feel that those were my intentions. This is my "full" time job (minus the toddler time that I'm required to put in as a mom) and if the water bill isn't paid....:( but I do NOT rely on this either. So I guess it is 6 in one hand 1/2 a dozen in the other :)

Thanks for allowing me to stand on the box for 5 seconds

  10. I would definately be on board with that. I've been wanting to purchase a CM, but the price isn't $$ right for me. I don't craft enough for it to be profitable, but would love to sell the stuff I do make.

I also feel that crafters deserve the same benefits as a CM. There's no competition there, so I honestly don't see what the issue would be. I do however think maybe instead of crafters filling up the GTG's forum or the Business news Forum that maybe they could have their own forum, that way we can post, make and sell as much as we wanted. $75 is a lot of $$ in todays market and the crafters that pay it would want to feel like they too are getting their money's worth. JMO

That is exactly why I suggested $50. I also agree the HM should have their own Hobby forum so that CM don't feel as though there is competition. Also...I agree with setting rules but cutting their advertising down to 2 times/week seems a little harsh as does limiting the pictures. JMO!
