    If I purchased the shingles can you or are you able to hire someone to put them on ?? ... and how much is a rough cost of installing windows if I bought them myself. There are 14 windows -

    I have a hard enough time paying the utilities - but the windows are the old wood pane and drafty - so I want to replace them. The roof is 20 yo, doesnt leak but has several missing shingles....I just need to know how many extra jobs I need to get to pay for these kind of things.. cant go to profit sharing - the economy has depleted it.....and I have already been the route of letting a family friend do some work, and he ripped me off. Folks on here usually have some ideas -

    when my daughter came home from elementary school with the news that someone was being mean and saying ugly things, I sat her down and started trying to think of the meanest things to say to the other little girl. I finally said for her to turn the words back - if the girl said your hair is ugly, tell her you think her hair is beautiful - if she says you have freckles, tell her she has a pretty tan. Believe it or not - when the mean girl couldnt rile R, she quit - but she moved on to other little ones - that did rile R, so she told her to quit - when it didnt stop - R had to beat her up. Oh well - I made a big issue of scolding her for hitting, but I really was quite proud.

    But your right - some of the meanest things on eart are females !

    let every one know it is young - appears full blooded - unaltered - if they are missing one, they will get in touch with you - I agree with not posting the breed -

     

    I know if I were a dog and lost, I would be so happy you were the one to save me !! Big cudo's to hubby for his getting signs out so quickly !

    I have had 2 weeks of sleeping late....running around in my night gown until after lunch, hanging out with the kids and spending money I did not have.

    ...... But it must end...back to work tomorrow.

    I will miss reading the post and seeing what is happening every few minutes !

    A couple of complaints about the Christmas Parade

    :p actually I think the horses need to be spaced out more in the parade instead of the very end - as a kid I waited to see them on tippy toes - ( actually I understand though)

    I had 2 participants in the parade ( one in ROTC and one on horseback) and loved it - I meet new friends and saw old ones - I froze and I laughed about the loss of feelings in my feet - then I said good bye to my new and old friends and prosmised to see them again next year - and I am already looking forward to it !!

    a couple of years ago my (77 yo) mothers precious Gracie had an embolism in her spine and collapsed, screaming in pain at my moms feet - mom grabbed her up and took her to the vet only to be told there was nothing that could be done - for a couple of days mother seemed "ok" then she quit eating, slept all day and after a few months, ended up in the hospital - began to talk about Gracie as if she was just in the other room. We had a cat that was Gracie's sister, so we took Prissy to mom - and it was a miracle for both of them. NO - it was not a replacement - it was a job, a friend, a reason to get up and move around. A puppy was out of the question, because mom could not get up to let one out to potty, but a kitty takes care of its business all by itself -

    As the care giver of an older parent, I think it is necessary for them to have that companion - I know how bad my mother grieved over loosing her kitty, but the joy she has found having a different furbaby is incredible -

    :lol: yeah !!!! My young un going with some of the most wonderful people in the world ! She is so excited - walking around the house dancing and singing - she said it was the most awesomist birthday present ever ....now I gotta try to come up with a present to top that !!!!
