  1. Hello, I have connected a gas range and I can smell a little gas and was wondering if anyone lived nearby that can give me a hand. I think it is as simple as my connection since I did not smell gas before with the old one. PLEASE call me if you can help as I would like to get this done today (Saturday) or Sunday.

    Thanks

  3. Hello, did not know if anyone knew of a good pet sitter for my sisters small dog (rat terrier). She would take it to their home. Basically looking for someone who is good, reasonable and responsible. I would probably be 10-12 days a month work as she travels out of town. She is looking for someone's home rather than the dog being caged at a business. Thanks

in advance. You can respond to this ad or e-mail her at:

  5. I happened to catch a sign near Jim & Nicks on 278 when I was in traffic.  It was one of those signs that change and one of them read "SPA" in big black letters with one line of directions at the bottom listing the address one mile ahead on Enterprise Path.  This sign reminded me of the ones you see when driving to Florida on 75 in South GA.  Has Hiram finally gotten one of those houses of ill repute?

I know which ones you're talking about...the ones with the women on them etc....I am talking about the signs that have the word "SPA" on them with small directions written under the word. Usually a spa will be a nice sign with flowers on it etc.... This sign just has the word "SPA" written on with directions to Enterprise path (i think it's near the old Western Sizzlin?).

  7. I just want to say that a true friend will always correct those they care about. DO you let your child play in the street where there is traffic? Do you let them play with fire? No. We all will guide others that we care about. That is what I see they are trying to do. Wisdom and good advice can go along way in some situations.

Very well said Eternity! That is the point...to take a little extra effort in the situation to guide! Well said.

  8. I don't feel good about this situation at all, it's very sad to have to go through this. You have to face reality at some point. We can all "band-aid" the problem and say "oh you poor thing, how terrible" or we can dig deeper and pray for God to help give her the strength to understand what has happened and guidance to lead her forward. I do not derive any pleasure from making somebody feel bad in this case as I have personally been through far worse than this. When people are down we comfort them and offer suggestions on going on with life.

I think the greater good is for a person to realize that WE are the ones who are responsible for OUR situations. A child is very impressionable and will vividly remember a situation like this forever. Do you want a child to respect how their parent held their head up through a terrible situation like this to go on and make a better life or is it better to help this woman blame everyone else but herself only to wind up going from place to place creating a pattern and mindset of a child to do the same?

As I mentioned before and others, let us pray for God to help guide her. Certainly positive thoughts for this woman will go a long way.

  9. I think it is important that you show courage to your children in any situation you are in so when they become adults they can have courage as well. Children learn what they are taught plain and simple. I do agree that prayer is very important but why is it that we feel that prayer will always solve a problem? Pray for the strength in finding a solution to your problem.

In America people are not kicked out their houses for no reason. It comes from not paying their mortgage or rent over time. From there it goes before a Magistrate who then looks at the situation and makes a ruling. From these previous posts it seems as thought this has happened. We are not entitled by birth to live in a house without taking responsibility for paying the mortgage or rent. Why pray for someone to miraculously help you? Show your children your courage for the strength to move on and make some major changes in your life. If you need to get public assistance then get it.

I do wish you well on your future journey in life. I do feel that you need to accept full responsibility for yourself and children. You are at a "Y" in the road where you can take the high road or the low road. Whichever you choose pray for the guidance and strength to make yourself a better person and the wisdom to not repeat this. God bless.

  10. Hello I am giving away a heavy (350 lbs) cast iron bathtub. It would

be perfect to be used as a flower bed, horse/cow/animal farm trough for

water, goldfish pond etc.... It is not the one with fancy legs but a

more modern one (maybe 25 years old). It is blue (lightly discolored)

enamel and would probably need to be reglazed if it was to be put in a

house. This will require two strong people to take away. I have

already removed it from the bathroom and have it sitting in a carport

ready for the first person to e-mail me back that they are interested.

    Thanks

  11. Hey there....if you don't mind a 15 minute drive, try Pasta Bella in Austell...I went there last week with 11 of us...it was great and reasonable! When you first walk in you are welcomed by a HUGE case of desserts that are incredible (Cheesecakes and Napoleons are awesome btw). There is a huge selection of entrees including Italian, Greek, Salads, fish, burgers....bon appetit!
