My statement was based on experience. I have been involved with Delta and Hartsfield projects for the last 35 years. I know that what Delta has built in Atlanta would be nearly impossible to duplicate in another location. What you are not understanding is Delta requires a huge number of connecting flights to support their international flights. There is not another airport in the south or the east (with the exception of O'Hare) that can handle that kind of traffic.
