  1. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrendous!!! Wonderful that he was not seriously hurt!!!!

    What caused the accident?

It was another car avoiding an accident and throwing on his brakes and swerving into the young man's lane. To keep from hitting that vehicle, he hit the brakes hard, and skidded in front of the big rig, which clipped him and sent him tumbling. That was the last that the young man remembers about the circumstances.

  2. Thank God it turned out okay. It looks awful!!!

Yes, it went briefly airborne before flipping over a few times. That's what tore off the roof and broke the axle. The good thing is that, besides the fact that the driver was okay, there was no one in the passenger's seat (see middle picture above).

  3. He was wearing his seatbelt and was bruised a little and required 10 stitches - otherwise okay!

His brother, my friend's other son, was killed just a few years ago in a car accident. I can't imagine my friend's anxiety when he got the phone call that this son had been in a bad accident!

Here are pictures of the accident. It WAS a red truck.

  4. great pics of the couples .. all of them look very nice ...

Yes, they do, Kel! What reallly impressed me about the prom students who've come in so far -- They've all been very well mannered! They are really nice people from families who brought them up to be respectful. That goes for the guys and their dates, as well. The parents have a number of reasons to be proud of them!

  5. ....And you need a tux rental for the Paulding/East Paulding prom, for example. And - you don't want to have to pay a $20.00 rush fee on top of a $150.00 tux rental -- What to do???

Just call or PM King Tux Rentals! Our tuxes are always $99.99 for everything. We'll fix you up with a designer two button notch lapel tux jacket, matching pants, black or white shirt, coordinating tie, cufflinks, black vest, shoes, socks and silk pocket square -- All for $99.99 plus tax.

There's never any upselling or pressure to purchase more, because all rentals are $99.99 each and they include everything!

However, if you make a reservation at MacFarlanes for Prom night, there's a tux discount of $10.00! All that you have to do to receive your discount is give us the party name and the time of your reservation at MacFarlane's!

  7. Wonder if he'll try to go to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.. Only country star's bus around here he could steal would be Travis Tritt..lol oh or Patty Loveless I guess.

He might be desperate to break in to the movies!

  8. I think that some people may not know how to access the directory. For those of you who aren't familiar with the directory, here's how it works:

Click on the Paulding.com logo in the top left corner. Scroll down just a bit and you'll see this great big box under "fastread page". Just below that is the directory. On the left, you can search the categories. King Tux Rentals is under, "MISC". Click on "King Tux Rentals", for example, and you'll see the advertisement for our tuxedo rental business. You may have to scroll back up to see the advertisement.

It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with all of the products and services featured here at Paulding.com There are a lot of great small businesses in and around Paulding County!

  9. I am in awe of your self promotion! Great job!

    Thanks! It's a God-given gift!

The downturn is what opened up this niche market. I feel for the people who are struggling and I'm happy to be of service to those who still want to celebrate special events.

    I appreciate the compliment!

  10. We're seeing a lot of people taking advantage of our discount pricing. Everyone still wants to celebrate special occasions, like weddings and proms, but they naturally are put off by the big chain stores who pressure-sell. We never pressure-sell because there's only one price for tux rentals -- $99.99 + tax. Besides, who needs pressure at a time like this?

There are bargains out there and an increasing number of people are looking for them and finding them.

  11. OK, I had the big church wedding with the long flowing white gown the first go around . The pictures were really very lovely, but I was too nervous about standing up in front of all those people to enjoy my wedding day.

I have often wondered what kind of ceremony I would have if I ever got married again. For a while I thought about the Elvis drive thru chapel in Las Vegas, no joke.

Now I am leaning toward a private ceremony in Gatlinburg, me wearing another beautiful gown, but no guests. In and out of there in just a few minutes.

What do you think you guys and gals would do the second or third or fourth time down the road? Courthouse? Church? Justice of the Peace? Elvis drive thru chapel?Small Ceremony in Gatlinburg? Exotic Carribbean Island wedding on the beach?

Second or third or fourth time down the road, I'd probably opt for a destination event and take close friends to share the special occasion with.

  12. We will be there in March---please post the dates for that one when you can!

I think that you can go ahead and mark your calendar, since LLF wisely chose "the third Sunday" in each month. That would make the meeting for March fall on the 15th (the prior Sundays in the month being the 1st and the 8th).

  13. I hope my son looks as good in his prom tux as you do in yours!

We'll have him looking great. You won't believe how grown up prom goers look in their tuxes. Get your tissues, we've had mommas cry at seeing their sons looking all grown up! It's a combination of pride and astonishment.
