Rest in Peace Uncle Frank. You will be missed.

Have you heard anything down Winndale rd or Cochran Ridge? Several sirens headed that way a few minutes ago.

A 12 gauge pump shotgun close by makes you feel a lot less scared.
I agree with the pump shotgun. As my husband and my son say, there is nothing scarier than the sound of a shotgun being pumped. I have one beside my bed, loaded. My husband works swing shift so every 2 weeks he is on 12 hour shifts at night. I feel alot safer with the shotgun sitting by my bed and YES I know how to use it. But we also have 3 dogs that not even my dad or brother will come in my house if we are not home. I think I would worry more about the dogs than I would the shotgun.

I would give you my moms recipe if she had one. I have watched and made it myself several times but there is no measuring anything. Self rising corn meal, almost as much flour as corn meal, couple of eggs, buttermilk. Put some oil in iron skillet and let heat up, mix everything in bowl and add the extra warm oil from your skillet and stir. Sit aside for a few minutes, this lets it start to rise, stir again, then pour into the skillet. Cook on 350 until golden brown. Like I said nothing is measured you just kind of eye ball it. This is the way my mama and my mom taught me how to make it, this is also the base to my moms dressing for Christmas. Take care and good luck.

In the second instance the officer was never told to look for a crime scene. He was strickly looking for the missing girl. If the Canton police chief had called in the GBI and FBI on the night she went missing they would have known to be looking for both. The officer was doing what he was told to do, which is what the sheriff has said also.

Yeah, BG right down the road. I am off Harris Loop. Thanks for the heads up and I am glad the PCSD was all over this and caught the 2 perps.

Maybe you could foreclose on the courthouse?
I had the same thought. That would be a sight. Surepip, I really hope that you get what is owed to you and your family. I am also glad that you had the guts to stand up for your family.

I so want to guess but im so not a paying memeber dang it
You don't have to be a paying member to guess in this contest. You have to be a paying member in the other thread to get a chance to win. Maybe you will be the winner in this one and I will be the winner in the other thread. Good luck.

thanks! Tow and I are pretty much "take no bs" dictator style parents. If the kiddos don't like it, they have an open invitation to the outside world just as soon as the hit 18. I figure children dont need raising...adults do. So that is what we are raising...adults that will be productive citizens.
Mean? probably by some people's standards. Effective? I will never need to call the law to protect me from my children...
I agree, my kids are 20, 21, and 25. They all know that if they backtalk me even today I WILL take care of the situation. As a parent you do what ever it takes to get the point across. I am the same way with my grandchildren. The problem with kids today are the parents the tell jr "stop that right now" but do not back up there words with the actions that are needed. If this was one of my boys at this age I would have met the bus at the street and whooped his a$$ all the way in the house. I have even told all 3 of my kids I would go to jail before I would let them act like some of the kids that I see out in the world today. I also have to say that all 3 of my kids have turned out pretty darn good by all standards and nothing I did to make them behave has hurt them in the long run. I think it has helped them become better adults.

Just talked with my aunt who is a bus driver, she was stranded in Yorkville since 4:30. She slid her bus sideways in the road and got stuck, she finally made it home about 8:45 p.m. She drives special needs kids and luckily she had dropped off her last student before she got stuck. She said the bus finally melted the ice under her and she was able to get it into the new elementary school parking lot. Then she and other drivers that were stranded were picked up and brought home by someone at the bus barn. They were literally driving 5 and 10 mph down Goldmine and 278. Just glad maybe all our bus drivers are now home and safe.

For the amount of money that we pay LEO's I don't mind this one bit. This is a small perk, that should be allowed. It really gripes my butt that the LEO's are damned if they do and damned if they don't. They put their life on the line everyday for pay that most of us would not even work for much less risk our life for, but they do it because they enjoy the job and actually like the job that they are doing. THANK YOU, to all that serve us each and every day.
