  1. HEY HEY HEY - she's got an issue with ONE PCSO PERSON, don't go picking on all of PCSO now and don't go picking on CCPD now :angry2: IF you wasn't breaking the law in CC you wouldn't need to be calling them names - and by the way - that is their JOB to catch you if or when you do break the law, traffic or otherwise! Trust me on this one: they do not make the speed limits on the roads they patrol, but, they DO have to ENFORCE the ones that someone else puts out there! <_<

Thank you Smiles, my brother is a Cobb Police Officer and probably the fairest person I have ever met (not just because he is my brother). I appreciate you supporting and defending them. I know there are some officers out there who get a little excited about their job's, but Cobb County has some of the most elite and well trained officers I have ever met. You are right...if someone is out there breaking the law they deserve to be ticketed and shouldn't take it out on the officer just because they got caught!

  2. My thoughts exactly. His wife and daughter  have found out about this thread on p.com and they are very upset about some of the speculation. They have enough on them right now and they do not need rumors being spread by simple speculation. Let's just pray for her and her daughter . That is what they needs most at this time.

Sorry to start this up again...But, this is exactly why RRR and anyone else reporting scanner news do not need to post names, addresses, etc.! I pray for the family in their time of tragedy and grief and hope that I never read anything on here that is speculation or not true about my family or anyone else that I know.

  3. Terry,

My family and I are so sad to hear of your loss. My husband Ray and I are your neighbors that live in the yellow house facing your's. I remember when Ray told me that your wife was sick. I thought then that I wish I knew you better. If there is anything that we can do for you, please don't hesitate to come down your hill. Your precious wife is resting in the hands of God now. I will be praying for you and your family.

  4. My husbands cousin is at Emory with a serious Staph infection.  I haven't heard anything in a couple of days but as of Saturday his kidneys were failing.  He is a 13 or 14 and goes to EPHS.  He told his mother his knee hurt one day.  The next day he could not walk on it.  She took him to the doc two days later.  They did bloodwork and almost immediately rushed him to the hopspital where he was life flighed to Emory.  My friend is a nurse and I was told that it can be passed by coming into close contact with someone who has it.  By close contact I mean skin touching skin.  I'm no doctor, but if you feel you're child may have been exposed, I would have bloodwork done.

I believe that is the child I'm talking about. I know his name but won't reveal if for the family's privacy. I pray that he pull's through. Both of my older kid's are high schooler's and I preach to them all the time about washing their hand's and not touching door knobs. They told me that most of the door's are open at school so they don't have to do that, thank goodness. Maybe with the cooler weather they can get the staph stuff under control.

  5. Since pcom was so helpful in helping me with the mission of finding my sons books,  i wanted to see if you could help with this one.  :)

My neice is wanting the bag below,  i know nike sells them but it does not show them on the website. :(

i just want to get  an idea of the price range, so if any of you have girls that carries these bags, or boys that use them as sports bags could you please let me know where you purchased it, and the price range. they are called "Back bags".

and they are made out of strecthy nylon

    Thanks.

My daughter bought hers at Kohl's for about $12.00. It has the Nike logo on it.

  6. I have some very special kitties who have been diagnosed with cerebellar hypo plasia. It is a very rare and unique disease that has been around for a long time. The symptoms make the cats appear to walk as if they are drunk. They are very intelligent, but they have severe physical needs. They are however very loving, and they mean the world to me.  I was just wondering if anyone else out there has any "special cats." We can all talk about our "special" animals.

On a side note, I am highly offended that there are no politicians working hard to protect the rights of my disabled kitties.... :p ...lol

My 10 year old son...I mean cat... has been deaf since he was about 4 month's old. He is the sweetest, most loving animal I have ever had. He can meow, but you know what it sounds like when 2 cat's are on the "prowl"? Well, that's what he sounds like all the time. We have sign language just like a real deaf person would have. Most cat's are afraid of the sound of the vacuum cleaner. NOT MINE! He will feel the vibration of the vacuum and come and lay down in front of it so you can vacuum him. He is so funny.

  7. Too Cute! I don't care what mood your in...that sound will always make you smile!! Thanks..I just added it to favorites...for a rainy day! :D

You are soooo right! A child laughing is the most beautiful sound in the world! It alway's makes me happy to hear that little giggle. I am going to have to save this also just for those moment's when I need a little pick me up.

  8. My son goes to McGarity.  The office said that they are seeing a lot of cases already.

I would rather not post my place of business.  (I am sure you understand)

    NBMD,

My son has already been out 2 day's this week with that stuff. No sore throat just throwing up and diarrhea (sorry for the mental picture). He also goes to McGarity (kindergarten). Hope all of our babies feel better soon.

  9. The cocahes are belaching, the nurses are coming out: like i posted in the othe rthread, if the locker rooms had more ventilation tha tmight would help, and a feild house, tha tway the foot ball team does not share with the regular PE class: that way it could be  conatined and found out where it is coming from:

the venlation would help because there is none what so ever in the locker rooms or showers, so there fore  the bacteria just stays there and grows:

but i do know that the teachers and coaches are doing every thing they can to get rid of this:

the coaches have been cleaning, bleaching, and trying to keep a check on every one:

Turning the air conditioning way down (colder) in the gym and locker room's might help. The colder temperature would keep the germs from thriving, and cool the kid's off when they're at P.E. Does anyone agree?

  10. i just heard from my son that @ EPHS has a staph thing going aroud in the gym and in the locker rooms. they say that the football players have the worst of it.

    just letin yall now

The school sent home a letter on Monday informing the parent's of the situation. It gives instructions on what to look for and what to do if you have a child that possibly has an infection. Hope this helps.

  11. I don't think so.  There were many witnesses that stated the assaillant pointed the gun at the gentleman, he shot him in defense.  There were no charges against him.  I also believe the out cry of the public with protect him.

I agree with you Aseed. I don't think the DA will prosecute. If they do it is just standard procedure. The jury wouldn't convict him if all the evidence is presented properly.

  12. Hi Guy's,

I am happy to say that I am now the proud mom of a "big" baby girl named Sara.  She was a little hesitant when I brought her home and she met her new fuzzy brothers.  She has been with us for 2 days now and I am happy to say that she is fitting in quite nicely.  My daughter's nickname since birth is "Sara" and she has claimed the cat as hers!  Thank you guy's for all the work you do with the animals.  Sara is the 2nd cat I have adopted from the shelter and I'm sure we will be back for more as the years go by.  If we had a fence in our backyard there are 2 lab puppies that my husband wanted real bad.  He was all ready to take them home.  Maybe next time.  Thanks again.

  13. GAPEACH, do you have something to tell everyone????  If it wasn't you then who was the person who adopted Sara so she could be in her forever home????

I know it was someone from here because they asked for me.  ;)

  14. nothing going in and out of the house but my sister and me....

i wonder if SHE'S bringing them back!!

We bid on Advantage on Ebay....soooooooo much cheaper than the vet! It should be here Monday...

so how do i get the fleas out that have made my home thier home??

See if i ever get a kitten from the flea market again!

VACUUM, VACUUM, VACUUM! Put some flea powder in your vacuum bag and vacuum as many times a day as you can. The egg's that are in the carpet can hatch up to a year later. Hope this works. It did for me.

  15. Meet Sara,

Sara is a sweet, loving girl.  She is female, spayed, current on Rabies, declawed...

Sara is great with kids & with dogs...

Sara is ready & waiting for her forever family!

If you would like to meet Sara, please visit Paulding Animal Control / Shelter!

Her adoption fee is ONLY $35.

    WOW!

She's BEAUTIFUL! How old is she? Does she like other cat's? And, does she like living indoors?

  16. Per previous posts, my 21 month old has a super tummy virus, causing her to have icky poops... which is making changing her every 1/2 hour a nightmare, because her little butt is Raw. I've been using straight Vaseline, but it doesn't seem to be taking out the sting.. Everytime I change her, she runs around in circles fora few minutes yelling "ow" like her butts' on fire. (which it probably is.)

So, does any of you seasoned ma's or pa's have any home remedies for this? or any favorite discount drug that might be good for this? She's never been this sick nor ever had diaper rash, so I"m at a loss!

    thanks.

    a weary B.

I found the most wonderful diaper rash ointment when my 6 year old was a baby! It is called "Dr. Smith's Ointment". It is a little more expensive than your normal ointment but well worth the cost. My son's rash was looking better (not gone, but definitely better) the day after I used the ointment. I never bought anything else from then on. We still use it for other boo-boo's 6 year's later. Oh yeah, you can find it at Eckerd's and Wal-Mart. You might have to ask the pharmacist for it, they kept it behind the counter at most stores. Hope this helps.

That is true but since it is legal, in my opinion ethical and moral, I like it that she does.

BTW: GApeach.... typing in all caps is considered shouting and you really ought not shout, especially at this time of the morning. Someone might call 911 on you :) j/k

Sorry about the shouting. Ironically, I am a 911 dispatcher and I am at work right now. I'm just so frustrated by this whole topic. It just need's to be closed and done with.

  18. Glad to know you enjoy visiting this site ,also we do appreciate the job you do for this county. in what capacity do you contribute with your job?

WHAT DOES IT MATTER WHAT TYPE OF JOB THEY HAVE? JUST STOP PRINTING NAMES AND PERSONAL INFORMATION. PRINTING SOMETHING THAT IS BENEFICIAL SUCH AS ROAD CLOSINGS AND AREAS TO AVOID IF THERE IS A WRECK OR A FIRE AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE ARE FINE. WE DO THANK YOU FOR THE JOB YOU DO RRR, BUT IT'S NOT NECESSARY TO PRINT EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO.

  19. Ganurse I totally agree with everything you are saying. Telling everyone about an officer going out to eat, or doing a traffic stop, or anything trivial like that just doesn't need to be talked about. RRR gives out information to the public that we as dispatchers have to ask the officer on the road if he is "clear for traffic", which means is he in the company of a perpetrator so that he won't get hurt or injured by information that is revealed by us. Giving someone's name, address, and vehicle description on here is not anyone business but the officer's and the dispatcher's.
