The City Cafe will be open on Thursday, 1/1/2009, and we are serving a traditional lunch special Come join us for: Pork Chops - breaded or blackened - your choice blackeyed peas collard greens potato salad fried okra sweet potato souffle cornbread dessert 1 meat and 1 veggie - $5.50 1 meat and 2 veggie - $6.00 1 meat and 3 veggie - $6.50 2 veggies - $5.25 3 veggies - $5.50 4 veggies - $6.00 Meal iincludes you dessert and your tea. Well if you find you might not have enough time, let us know. We'll make some part of your meal for you. Enjoy your cooking. My husband and I enjoy cooking ourselves too. We spend most of the day cooking. We have our big meal for dinner. Every year he tries some kind of new recipe for stuffing. Last year it was shrimp and smoked sausage stuffing. Amazing. Anyway, have fun.

I am making a pumpkin pie and a pan of sweet potato casserole for someone. Anyone else need anything? Just ask us. Thanks

We've gotten some orders. But if you want you us to cook your ham or turkey, bring it by tomorrow, Saturday. We'll put your name on it and write your order in our order book. Kathy told me her ham recipe today and I think I might get her to cook mine. She does hers in a crock pot with coca-cola and brown sugar and some other spices. Sounds WONDERFUL!!!!! She will be buying a few turkey breasts (depending on the amount of orders) and slicing the white meat for the orders. So you won't be getting a whole turkey, just the already sliced pieces. I talked to the cook about deep frying a breast and she said that the fryers are too narrow to do even that. How disappointing. I was thinking of getting one for myself. Oh well.

I think if it is a turkey breast, we can probably fry it. But we don't have the capability to fry a whole turkey. I wish we did, because the DELICIOUS deep fried. Thanks, I should have added that you can email me to order as well.

The City Cafe is offering a holiday special: Bring us your turkey or ham and we'll cook it for you for $10.00. We'll make a 9 x 13 pan of dressing for you for $12.50. If you would like for us to fix you a whole dinner for 4, that would only cost $30.00 and includes, turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and gravy. Enough to feed 4 people. Are you going to be doing any specials for birthday parties. That's the worst part, the price of the parties. But other than that, we have attended a few parties there, and my kids love it. I do like the set up, but like most on here - the workers were too busy talking to each other or on the phone to be of any real assistance. Thanks,
