I think they will call school soon. They would rather be safe. It just sucks because they just send them home which means I have to hurry and get there. Not their fault, but still sucks.

Arrests are public record because the citizens want a more transparent government; hence the Freedom of Information Act. The problem is perception....many people do not understand an arrest is only the start of criminal justice proceedings and it is not punishment.
I understand. I just do not think you should be able to go on a county website and search someones name and it pulls up information from ten years ago. Just seems like if you did something in highschool and it is dropped off your recored you should not be able to see it online ten years later. If it is dropped it should be dropped to me. I know a lot of my friends that are teachers were really freaking out about it. Thinking their students would start looking them up. You know for the typical minor consumption. But what do I know.

I don't like pictures of people who are just "charged" with a crime having their picture posted everywhere. If the person is "wanted" for a crime then the picture helps those in search of that individual. Having a picture displayed of a person who was simply "charged" with a crime can ruin that person's reputation for years to come. Not every person that is charged is also found guilty. If you don't agree, let yourself be a victim of mistaken identify and charged with a crime of rape or whatever and have your picture plastered all over the internet and see if you change your opinion. In America, you are presumed innocent until found guilty. Having your picture plastered everywhere leads people to assume your guilty without even having a trial. IMHBAO
OMG! This story is so awful if true. I am in shock. I agree with you. It is crazy someones life could be ruined and we do not even know if it is true. I went to school in Cobb County and I remember a few years ago Cobb released and inmate inquiry site. Everyone was looking up every body. It was crazy people could look up your picture just for being in jail for one day for something you may or may not have done ten years ago in highschool. I know a lot of people were freaking out about it.
This is what is listed on the inmate site- but you can pull up there pictures and what they are charged with. It is crazy because they may not even be guilty.

Yes I know teenagers lie.
But if my child came to me telling me something took place I would take it very serious and I would find out the truth. More children I would think do not lie about something like this serious than do. You do not know what happend in this situation. You do not even know if the child told- maybe the parents found something or etc. (no one knows) Comments like that is what make so many children not tell their parents if a situation happens that should not. A pcommer just got on here saying that this happend to their brother. I do not know what happend, but out of respect to their family if it did happen I would not be making those types of comments.

I dont understand how you people can comment on here when you dont know the story at all! This happened to MY brother, and if yall knew the story, the ones who are saying he could have just been "p*ssed" at her will seriously feel horrible when she is convicted, because thats NOT the case at all! If yall only knew HALF of what my family has been going through!!!
People comment because it is an open county message board that reports top news stories for the county. People are going to reply. The reason people are saying they do not know if it is true is because some cases are not true. Nobodys know if it is true or not besides the people involved.
I am very sorry for what happend to your family, but this is just the negative side of having a county message board. (for some)
I know this stuff would be hard to read for people involved. There really is not much you can do.I know it stinks, but I would recommend you just stay away from it for now. You do not want to harm the case your case in any way. Of course IMO

Even if she is [morally] innocent, she'll probably plead guilty to the misdomeanor charge in lieu of the felony charge being dropped. It's how "the system" works.
That is sad. I could not imagine being charged with something that I did not do.
I am not going to lie though. If had a child that had contact with her I would be freaking out. Even the chance of it being true.

She is listed at Austin Middle School- under staff on the paulding.k12.ga.us website-then click schools then click Austin Middle then staff- the staff is in alphabetical order- it looks like she teaches some sort of science maybe.
