We are a dentist office in Douglasville who is looking for a family to buy Christmas for this year. We have set aside December 8th to go and purchase food and gifts for a family in need. If everyone who spent any money in Paulding County paid a Fair Tax, then people who took advantage of the free lunches, etc. could contribute to the cost of educating their children in the county. Alot of people who rent homes, apartments, etc. do not pay anything and their children receive the same education as people who pay their property taxes each year. Don't get me wrong, it is NOT the childs fault, it is just that alot of parents work the system. With all the foreclosures, people have not been paying their property taxes and thus the shortage. I was at work in a doctor's office. A patient said a plane had hit the World Trade Center and thought it was a commuter plane. We turned on the radio to a news station because at that time we did not have internet access. One of our employees lives close to home and went to get a small tv for the waiting room. The doctor and I were standing in the waiting room watching the tv when the first tower started to fall. I can remember both of us at the same time gasping as the tower fell and as the second one started to move and then fall. It seemed like an eternity watching the towers fall.
