Thank you everyone for your advise and help. I have a 10yr old girl and 14yr old boy. They are both ok with clothes right now. Thanks for all the offers... Our power company is Greystone power. We owe 234.00 by the 21st. I can not come up with Rent on the 25th and power too. My husband did file a new claim at unemployment and is home now. I just keep telling him somehow someway we will make it through this... Love ya all!!!

okay he just called crying... They said all he can do now is file a brand new claim. He was lucky enough to have all the paperwork he needed in his truck but he has to get back in line and wait a few more hours... then this is what is making him cry.... They said it will take 4-6 weeks before he gets a decision and up to 8 weeks before his first check... What now? Anyone know of an organization that might help with our power bill?

Okay so my hubby called and said there were still about 50people in front of him. He did get to speak to one women who told him that they stopped paying him because his "Year to Date" is up. But now he needs to wait in another line to talk to someone. He has not been collecting for a year so not sure what this Year to Date thing is... But we will see... The waiting is killing me!!!

He has been a Construction Superintendent for over 15 years doing Commercial Construction. He has tryed to get hired on as a bus driver and just about anything else he can find. Just no one hiring... I will put out an update when he calls me about what happened at unemployment. Thanks so much everyone for caring!!! I really appreciate it!!! we will know more today when we go to open houses. I have one in 5th grade and one in 8th. Thank you!!!

He has already been given one extention. He is down there(Unemployment) right now... He was up all night throwing up. He says his nerves are shot. Between finding out my daughter needs 650.00 worth of dental work done to her mouth and insurance will only pay for half so basically in his book he cant take care of his children, his family and now has nothing to contribute now he is REALLY Depressed and now not eating and throwing up!!! Just going to have to take one day at a time I guess...

Okay so I can not believe with the way so many people are struggling lately that Unemployment would not give notice that your last payment was coming or already been paid. I make just enough money to pay to keep a roof over my kids head WITH my husbands unemployment deposits every week.... Checked the bank just now.... No deposit for this week. Check the Unemployment website and BAM no more money for us. Now with rent due in 10days.....There is NO way I can pull this off... Nevermind school supplies, food, power... It may just be me but I would have expected a letter or someth

Thanks Everyone! I will pass on for them to bring sleeping bags and pillows. Now should I just do the airmatress thing? I think we have one or two with our Camping gear... Yep I think I am just going to do that. Although I would like to put two futons up there so there is something to sit on in that room. Thanks everyone!!! God I love P.Com!!!

Okay so I have about 15 friends and family coming in for Labor Day weekend. I have a spare room which is like 15X30. Most of them will be crashing up there. Most of them are military guys that will be staying in the room. I used to have a queen bed in there but my daughter took that so now its empty. ... Should I look on craigslist for some futons for them to sleep on? SHould I get some air matresses? Then Sheets and Blankets? OMG I dont even have One spare sheet or blanket. We are currently struggling to stay afloat with only me working... How and what do ya'll think I should do? Thanks
