We are getting ready to tackle this project, and hubby asked me to do some research, but I am not making much progress. So I am throwing these questions out there to see if anyone can give me some advice...

 

#1-- We have a vented crawl space. If we put felt/tar paper under the hardwood, will that be enough to prevent moisture problems? Or do we need to put some kind of moisture barrier in the crawl space?

 

#2--For the boards around the edges, where you have to face nail, what's the best tool? We are doing several rooms, about 1200 sq feet. And on top of that being a lot of manual nailing, we are afraid that a hammer would mark up the floors too much. He is looking at a "Porta-Nails 404P Porta-Face Nailer", but we sure don't want to buy that if it isn't worth it.

[Hunting Land Lease Wanted WILLING TO PAY]

There is a lease availible on the GON forum. eighty acres in Coweta county for $25 per acre, a little pricey but you said you would pay full price.

I found one for 10.00 an acre. There will be at least 6 people going in on this.

It is a little late to be looking for a lease or a club to join, you should start looking around may/june because most lease fees are due in july. Try looking on the Temple Inland web site or try the GON forum, they have a sub-forum for availible leases and club openings.
