  1. I did it once for my daughter when she was 18 months, they told me to put make-up on her, and to have her hair all done up....I said no to both. She was the only one there that had no make-up and her hair was up in a pony tail with all her fly aways...she came in 3rd place, and I havent done it since then. I didnt want to keep doing it, because I didnt/ dont want her to grow up thinking that its all about the outside. Now she does want to do it now, its been a toss up between doing it or not.

  2. I got mine the day it was out......well...i got it for the kids....i didnt care to watch it....but after I did watch it...I seem to be hooked. I ahve watched everyday........and James....ohhhhh...how I would love for him to bite me :p Ohhh...and the movie is mine now...lol

  3. I believe that the average life span of a indoor only cat is @ 20 years. Once the cat goes outdoors (even if indoor/outdoor), the average goes down to 7 years. :o

    Reasons:

Risk of getting FELV/FIV from a infected neighborhood cat

Risk of being attacked by other animal(s)

Risk of being hit by car

Risk of ending up in the shelter, due to the "leash law"

Not a good idea, really. But, to each their own.

Mine is an inside cat...due to those reasons.......I spend to much money on her to take that risk, and I love her to much to lose her like that. So if keeping her indoors is mean....then just call me MRS.MEANY :p

  4. I'm sorry. As a mom of a 5 year old and 14 year old, threads like this make me nervous. My daughter walks my son to the bus stop every morning, walks back home alone, then walks to her bus stop at the end of the subdivision, all while it is still dark outside. So I get quite nervous when I read stuff like this happening in our own back yard.

I total agree with you!! I have 3 kids, ages 10, 11, and 14.....and they play outside all the time.......the fact of this happening close to home, is scary.

  5. I've tried everything you can think of, over my 40+ years, and nothing seems to make it go away any faster. It just runs its course. If you buy any sort of Lidocaine product, that will at least numb the area temporarily.

my son is 11 and has them alot, and bad.......we have tried all kinds of thing, but he has learned also just to let it run its course. He has had them bad since he was 5, and when he gets them they are bad.

  6. I got booted out at 18. It was a little rough at times. I was somewhat bitter at the time, but looking back I suppose that was one of the BEST things that's ever happened to me.

I was kicked out the first time at 15, then 16, then 17........didnt go back after that. I hate that things went like that, and that my parents didnt make the right choices as parents, but like you.......I can look back and say it was the best thing. If I didnt have go through what I did go through then I would have never met my husband and I wouldnt have had the kids that I have. It has made me a stronger person, today. I would never kick my kids out, no matter what. But if they want to move out at 18, then I would have that long talk with them, and let them know the door will always be open for them, no matter what. They have to make mistakes to learn from them, and I will be here for them.

  7. Does anyone know where my husband can go to get the shot to help him quit smoking. I called our Doctor office but they dont do it, and told me they didnt know where to go. So, when you need to know something go to PAULDING.COM......... :p

  8. I agree something needs to be done...better safe then sorry. Stuff like this makes me so scared for my kids...I have one who is going into high school next year, scares me. I would be pissed if I found out my kids where doing something, even if they were hanging out with someone that does something. I can only pray that we do the best we can as parents, pray that out kids makes the right choices. Good luck with this, and yes do something about it, I hope this child gets help!!!
