  2. This is my step-dad and I loved him dearly! He was a wonderful and funny man. To meet Rickey was to love him. He could make me laugh regardless of the mood I was in. He loved my momma, his children, and grandchildren deeply and they loved him just as deeply. He told me every time I talked with him how proud he was of me and my family. You knew how special you were to him and he never hesitated to tell you how much he loved you. He was taken way to early and we are still in shock, but we know he is watching over us and would want us to celebrate the years that we had with him. I ask that you please keep my family in your prayers as we prepare to say good-bye to this loving man. RIP Rickey I love you!

  3. Mrs. Creech Demby taught at Hiram Elementary for many many years. You would know her by Mrs. Creech. She was a 3rd grade teacher and was one of the greatest inspirations in my education life. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Becky Creech Demby passed away this morning. This past year she had been undergoing treatment for cancer, and was doing very well. She was in the hospital with an unrelated issue with her colon. This was completely unexpected. The funeral will be Saturday at McEachern Methodist with visitation at 10:00 and the funeral at 11:00.

  6. Romas was a very sweet man. I used to work at the Dallas Police Department and he would come in there pretty often when he worked at the fire station. He was always so sweet and wanting to know how my day was going. I am very sorry for his family's loss and y'all will be in my prayers.

  7. Hey,

I just got back from the library and they have a bookmark there with information on how to get a free youth ticket to a Hawks and Thrashers game. You get a ticket to a Hawks and a Thrashers game and a bookmark. You register all your kids at one time and then check your email on or after Sept 1. I figured it was worth posting. Check out and read at least 5 books from your local library. Log onto: CheckItOutReading.com Have a parent fill out the online registration form, deadline is August 15, 2009. 8. Georgia is out after losing 9-3 last night. The first game in the World Series is tonight, I believe at 8, between Florida and Washington. SEC has never won a women's college world series. I can't say I am crazy about Florida, but it would be nice for the SEC to win it!

  9. Okay I just got out my old report cards from elementary school. On my first grade report card from school year 1985-1986 it shows A= 90-100 Very Good B=80-89 Good C=70-79 Acceptable D=60-69 Needs to Improve and below 60 unsatisfactory. The next school year 1986-1987 everything is the same except for there is no longe a grade D and anything below a 70 is failing.

  10. Got an email 1/2 hour ago sayinghe is at Grady ICU 7L.

    Saying Prayers.

  11. I just knew it was gonna come down to him having to pick between Violet and Charlotte. That just sucks! Hopefully the show doesn't get canceled before the fall line up starts. They seem to cancel all of the good shows.
