I was wondering why the Chinese are getting off with doing cloud seeding so they can cause it to rain when and where they want it to, and our people don't want to use the technology to help ease our drought?
The reason I brought this up was I heard that the Chinese plan on coordinating their cloud seeding prior to the outdoor events during the Olympics so it will always be sunny.

according to my (brief) research you can't convert from dry to liquid like that because a pound of flour isn't the same quanity as, say, a pound of rice.

Actually, a pound of flour would be the same as a pound of rice. And the same as a pound of feathers and a pound of iron. A pound is a pound. The problem is when you try to convert dry materials into volumetric measurements - espcially those materials that can be compacted.

I didn't think it was legal to hold a check for more than 3 days? We deposited one (a large one) on a Monday and they said it would be available on Thursday.

So is the Main Street Tavern and Grill sign down now as well? This morning only the
SucksShucks sign was down and the Main Street sign was still up on both sides.If they really are closed then it might have been the double wammy of them moving to a location with less parking and then changing from a nice quiet atmosphere with a great menu into a rowdy oyster bar.
There was a guy on p.com that appearred to being running the place and advertised the changing to the oyster bar. I guess someone could search and find his name and PM him.
