I'm so sick of people spreading this rumor. Someone just posted on my facebook that they saw on the news that it was going to be cut off at 5:00 today. I've been trying to get ahold of the Water folks to confirm, but bless their hearts - everyone in the county is calling them so their line is busy.

Without knowing the details of how this terrible accident happened, it is easy to run through scenarios of what might have happened, all of which might teach us a lesson. One thing I always get onto my husband about is stopping on the tracks to wait for someone else to move. If our car stalled before we could get off the tracks, do you think I'd be able to get us and our two kids out of the car in time? Also, if you cross the tracks at a road without lights and/or guard rails, are you looking carefully or listening for a train? If you cross at a road with the guard rails and they are lowering

I think some of you need better insulation in your homes. We have neighbors who like to spend time outside when they have a party and play basketball till all hours of the morning. I can hear it in my bedroom, but the kids have never woken up because of it. The fireworks around here didn't bother us at all. It's the 4th of July people - that's what we do. If your baby is waking up, you ought to practice putting her to bed while people are banging pots and pans around the house just to get her used to the noise. Fireworks are not illegal in Georgia anymore!
