This was within 500 of our house. I was woken up about 5:30am by a Facebook notification from our neighborhood Facebook page.Atlanta Journal Constitution: JUST IN: 1 fatally shot, 1 stabbed after altercation at Paulding County home.
Probably a German guy and an Irish guy. Them Germans is bad to shoot folks and those Irish and their stabby stabby. You know how they are. Wait....I'm part Irish. Maybe that explains the knife collection. Better watch that part of myself.
As far as the charge of a German guy and an Irish guy, Ive always assumed Im of German and Irish Ancestry. Good news is Ive submitted my DNA sample to Ancestry.com. So rest assured we will all soon know if Im really a product of any of the dangerous stock.
Spinning off onto another subject, Im still holding out a glimmer of hope for a resurgence of Pcom to its former glory. I remember back in the Good Ole Days when I would log into Pcom to get the up to date and current info on a story like this. I guess thats technology... Facebook waking me up to tell me theres something happening close by.

I was in my early teens then. Seems we’ve all forgotton parents banding together to burn the Beetles and other’s albums. There was no need for me have albums since we didn’t have a record player in the house. I’ve still got the 8 track tapes down in the basement that I kept hidden from my parents. Someday I need to dig them out to see what my favorite groups were back then.

That's what irritates a lot of people. What you call hate others call a reaction to his policies and irrational, absurd and divisive behavior. If there was a plane crash everyday folks would respond to it not because they hate planes but because of the carnage it creates. I know some have decided to ignore it that it's the new normal the other 60 percent of America can't.
For the last 2 years it has been nothing but chaos and destruction and the only reason you see such a visceral reaction is it's every single week it's not because people necessarily hate the man it's what he is doing to America, and for that I hate him. When he packs up and leaves the White House I wish the jerk a long a happy life.

I’m a member of the other site but I don’t go over there much for 2 reasons. First I like the layout and format better over here. Second I keep wanting Pcom to return to its former glory. Maybe foolish dreams, but I remember the day when Pcom was a political powerhouse that was respected. When something happened, people rushed to Pcom to get the News quick. I remember when you could bet your bottom dollar on Pcom Polls. Today the term PeeCom has a totally different influence in the community than Pcom did.
Now back to the topic at hand.
Some Dow round numbers to smoke over.
18,325 the first closing after Donald Trump won his election.
19,900 the day Donald Trump was sworn in.
26,625 high on 1/26/18.
25,650 closing day after Democrats won the house.
21,800 Monday’s closing.
22,210 at 1pm today.
Wanting Donald Trump to crash and burn is much like being a passenger on a commercial plane and hating the pilot so bad, You hope he crashes and burns in the wreckage.
I’ve said it before and I’ll bet I’ll say it again. The smart ones study the market and make money. I love what my broker often says “The Stock Market Is The Only Place Where Prices Go Down And People Run Away”.

You mean to say that when Kemp, when he was criticized for STILL, AFTER MULTIPLE BREECHES OF STATE VOTER DATA INCLUDING THE RELEASE OF MILLIONS OF RECORDS INCLUDING SS#'S AND IT BEING PROVEN THAT SECURITY HAD NOT BEEN FIXED, DECIDED TO INSTEAD LIE AND ACCUSE HIS CRITICS OF HACKING WHEN THE FAULT WAS HIS CONTINUING MASSIVE INCOMPETENCE.
Yep, the judgement of the white nationalists wing of the GOP is that an incompetent, lying, but gun-loving white guy, is preferable to any person that is not an incompetent, lying, but gun-loving white guy ... 'cause we know they aren't racists or white supremacists.
How do we know that? Well, because every white nationalist member of the GOP agrees and they'll bully you, online or off, if you don't agree.
But the white nationalists should know that the Senate, which had blocked anti-lynching legislation for 100 years (and 200 tries) finally decided that lynching someone should be a considered a federal civil rights crime. The house has passed this measure many times over the past 100 years.

I hate to be the one to tell you but the White Nationalist Wing Of The GOP did not win this election for Kemp... your candidate and her supporters won it for Kemp. Now if Shirley Franklin had run, we would have the Nation’s First Black Female sitting in the wings waiting for her Swearing In Ceremony.
Much like in local politics, I hate to tell you but your mailers did not win 3 new Commission candidates races. The 3 outgoing candidates supporter’s lost those 3 races for their candidates all by themselves.
People are tired of hearing how the other candidate is a villain. Voters are looking for proactive and positive candidates. I say if the Democratic Candidate for Governor had run on a “Can Do” platform and acted like Kemp didn’t exist, your party would have won by a landslide.
But I understand these are only opinions. And my opinions and $4.75 will buy me a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

The term Obamacare turns my stomach. For years we had the best insurance. We walked in and handed over our card and $30. It didn’t matter if we went to the doctor, dentist, ER or hospital, just hand them $30 and the card.
But that plan did not meet Obamacare standards and they killed it. Now we pay $2,600 upfront, then pay 20%, with a guaranteed max of $6,000 per year.
My oldest son’s employer stopped providing insurance, he has not had insurance since Obamacare, he can’t afford the monthly premiums. Plus he pays a penalty at tax time. He used to pay for his kids insurance, guess who’s paying their’s now? You & me.
I don’t blame Former President Obama. I blame Congress.
Health care is a mess. A bigger mess than before Obamacare, in my opinion.
I like what our Pastor said yesterday at the end of the Kid’s Christmas program “They Are Our Future Pastors, Missionary’s, even Politicians. Maybe They Will Get It Right, Since Our Generation’s Can’t”.

Just an observation here... I'm a little surprised to read on the School website & Facebook page custodians are instructed to work tomorrow. I thought a couple or three years ago custodial services were outsourced to a contractor. I would think that contractor would be expected to communicate work schedules to their employees. I'm not trying to start anything, the wording of the notification caught my attention & seemed a little odd to me.

To all the folks that drove by and thought I was nuts sitting at the end of my driveway in the cold. There's a power crew in that driveway now, so thppppppppt.
Yeah that's right. I sat next to the road and threw my body in front of the truck, but it worked!
If you are in my neighborhood, I'm going to drag your body out of the way so the truck can get to my driveway. After all if you are dead, you don't need power anymore.

I get tickled when I see President Trump attacked, then usually in less than 24 hours the truth comes out. I expect just like all of the other attacks, this story result in the attacker's lunch getting eaten by the truth.

I realized this morning I’m enjoying the New Paulding.Com. For years I had my settings set to see topics discussed in the last 24 hours. When that setting got down to only showing 4 or 5 topics, I changed it to show topics discussed in the past week. When that setting only showed 4 or 5 topics discussed in the last week, I changed it to show topics discussed in the last 2 weeks. Just prior to the unveiling of the New Paulding.Com, I was down to approaching 10 topics shown for the past 2 weeks. Already I’ve changed my setting back to show topics discussed in the past week and there are 23 topics showing.
Keep it up.
