I saw the US bseball team play Nicaragua - pretty good game. One of the last baseball games played at the old Fulton County Stadium.
We had a great bunch of guys on that team - several from Georgia Tech. Garciappara, Veritek...
It was blazing hot, and riding Marta was horrible. But downtown was awesome.

Sorry... but you're wrong.
It's all gray area, and very much a judgement call.
Bolding and underlining are mine... but here is the gray area for your reading pleasure... in 'black and white'
Move-Over-Law: Georgia Code, Title 40-6-16.
a. The operator of a motor vehicle approaching a stationary authorized emergency vehicle that is displaying flashing yellow, amber, white, red, or blue lights shall approach the authorized emergency vehicle with due caution and shall, absent any other direction by a peace officer, proceed as follows:
1. Make a lane change into a lane not adjacent to the authorized emergency vehicle if possible in the existing safety and traffic conditions; or
2. If a lane change under paragraph (1) of this subsection would be impossible, prohibited by law, or unsafe, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle to a reasonable and proper speed for the existing road and traffic conditions, which speed shall be less than the posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop.
b. The operator of a motor vehicle approaching a stationary towing or recovery vehicle or a stationary highway maintenance vehicle that is displaying flashing yellow, amber, or red lights shall approach the vehicle with due caution and shall, absent any other direction by a peace officer, proceed as follows:
1. Make a lane change into a lane not adjacent to the towing, recovery, or highway maintenance vehicle if possible in the existing safety and traffic conditions; or
2. If a lane change under paragraph (1) of this subsection would be impossible, prohibited by law, or unsafe, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle to a reasonable and proper speed for the existing road and traffic conditions, which speed shall be less than the posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop.
c . Violation of subsection (a) or ( of this Code section shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00.
Not more than $500.00 is not quoting the code section. Here is the link to the actual code section.

This was a very important piece of legislation that got "watered down" and loaded with "gray areas" - for many reasons. But the fine is mandated to equal $500.00

Wasn't this a discussion earlier today? Or am I having deja vu?

Well water is great, as long as it's not contaminated. And as long as it doesn't run dry, or the pump go out. It would probably cost you close to the price of the meter box to have one dug, depending on how deep they had to go - and then your wellhouse and pump....
My water bill runs about 25.00 a month - streetlight fee included.

Well, they are going to raise taxes AGAIN - mine have gone up dramatically every year for the past 3 years - and they want us to vote for a tax increase to dedicate money to fire and EMS??? I won't be able to afford my home if this continues. We need to attend these meetings and speak out!

P & L nails in Hiram - on 278 at the intersection with Cleburne Pkwy. They are awesome. Full spa mani and pedi plus tip - around $40.00. Their massage chairs are awesome and they treat you like a queen while you are there. Movies to watch while you are pampered, and they will serve you a drink too. I highly recommend them.

Travis Barker - rocks!

Best ribeye steak anywhere.
I eat there a lot, my daughter works there.

Most of them have their radio so loud they can't hear it - or are so engrossed in their phone conversation they are oblivious to traffic.

Call Mason Rountree. He handles most type stuff, but if he doesn't handle the kind of case you need help with, he'll point you in the right direction. He's across from the courthouse. 770 443-6060
(He has a banner ad on here, too)

Suede looks like the dog I got as a pup from the shelter 2 years ago. Could they be related??
Is Suede still available? I might need to come check him out.

Does this mean our property tax goes up AGAIN? And apartment and duplex residents will no longer help pay for fire services in the long run? I'm a little confused here.
Or am I not seeing this correctly? I'd like a good FULL explaination before I vote for higher taxes. Mine are a lot higher than in the past, and I no longer have kids in the school system, either.

Yeah me too!! How many "circles" have you been involved in?? HAHAHAHa
We did know many of the same people, didn't we?!?
-
It is awesome. I have watched most of it. That has to be one of the coolest shows ever. I went to school with people just like all the characters on there!

You don't need a "coach" - you just need to have faith in yourself, and believe in the choices you make. Then, you can make them more easily. Because you know, even if they turn out not to be the best choices, at least you tried. The only way to ever better yourself is to try, even if it fails the first time, you keep trying. The only thing that you should ever regret, is if you never took a chance!
I think the world of you, and know you can do whatever you set your mind to.

ME TOO~~~!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like I'm totally blessed to have what I do but..... it seems like I still don't know what I want to be when I grow UP??
Is this mid-life crisis??
Girl, you got nothing to worry about. You are one of the best people I know. And, yes, it sounds a little like a mid-life thing. My life is nothing like I planned. If my plan had worked out, I would be living in the woods, a forest ranger - no kids, just nature. Well, you know how I turned out... single mom, 2 teenagers, career in government. Wow, I ended up a long way from the original plan, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The only thing missing in my life is someone to share it with, and you have that!
Maybe you just really need to find a more "self-fulfilling" career, or some kind of volunteer work.
I'd also recommend a yoga class - it's done wonders for my well-being!

I'm with you, there!
So much for serious dreaming...
I'd love to see a Best Buy and an Olive Garden.

What an awesome turnout. And MISTY did a great job on my car! It's great that so many are turning out for such a great cause.
Kittycat, you must have gotten there just as I left. Sorry I didn't get to see you.

I have also had issues with my mom - not quite to the extreme as you, but issues nonetheless.
I have in the past found that being honest without being mean, telling her what I think and how I feel about whatever she has said or done, helps us both.
Had to confront her by phone, or drive 6 hours to get it out in the open. I couldn't wait - did it by phone.
Good luck, I hope everything works out for your peace of mind.

Andy - the new bookstore is in downtown Dallas on Main Street. I believe they are only open till 6:00, though. They deal in trade-ins and used books I believe, which helps keep prices down.
A Borders or Barnes & Noble would be great. But don't they usually stay in or near a mall?
