  1. Well we lit it for about 20 minutes to see how it would go. Found a few things that need fixen. I was going to keep it running, but if it isn't 100% correct I didn't want to do that. It should be running correctly tomorrow. I will post for sure.

  2. We should be lighting the house up by this Friday. We are about 90% done now, and with the good lord willing we willl be 98% done tomorrow. Plan to test everything out tomorrow and see how it works smooth out any kinks, etc. If the lights are running tomrrow night I will post. Once I get it going it is staying on. We have a few new things, but the layout is the same. Show list is small at 5 songs, but growing.

  3. The decorations don't come down until January 6, which is the 12th day of Christmas. If they came down any earlier, I'd feel like I was shortchanging Christmas!

I wish my wife felt that way. OUr tree comes down the day after Christmas. My family always kept our tree up till the New Year. Although I do not htink putting up Christmas decorations shortchanges Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is like the kickoff of the season, so it is good to be ready.

  4. That's AWESOME, are you adding anything new this year? I remeber you were adding more lights, either last year or the year before? This is a great thing you do for the community and you donating all the donations you receive! Thank You

Cannnot say too much as I still am working on 0projects. We will add a few more lights, but power is limited. BUt I will say this I found a new hobby, welding! So look to the roof.

  5. I know it is a little early to talk Christmas lights but I couldn't help it. About a week ago HGTV was looking for homes to show during commercials during the holiday season, so we applied. We never reveived an email back so I figured they were not interested. Well today my wife calls me and ask if I had heard from HGTV yet. I replied no. Well low and behold they sent us a letter with a waiver to use pictures/video of the house this holiday season. Not sure when or how often but they will show houses decked for Christmas all season.

  6. Congratulations EPMS Raiders for winning your first ever football championship. The game was a week 1 rematch against the Austin Eagles, but this time there was a much different outcome with the Raiders winning 26-8.

I want to tell all my Raider players and coaches that I am very proud of you. It is always special to be the first team in school history to win the big one. We worked hard all season and off season to reach our goal. So enjoy the victory and the trophies, and 7th grade team now we have to work for a repeat.

Hats off to the Eagles for a great season as well.

  7. I heard this was a good game. Now dont' bash me cause I don't have a kid at either school, but wasn't Austin undefeated? Why was there a need for a play-off game? Just asking.

Like in most sports the top teams make it into the playoffs. Then from there the top two teams from the playoffs face off in the Championship game. Austin was undefeated in the regular season, which made them the no 1 seed in the playoffs. We at East were the no 2 seed and earned the chance to rematch the Eagles for the title.

I would like to take my hat off to the AMS and Coach Wagner. They put together a great season going undefeated. Congratulations being the reglar season champs.

But, I must say how ver proud I am of my boys at EPMS. You played your hearts out today and were rewarded for your effort.

  8. The Raiders are in the Championship game. All the hard work and time that the team and coaches put into this season has paid off and got us in a position to win it all. I am really proud of my players and coaches win or lose this Satuday. They have played one heck of a season this year and have really grown as players. One more game to win boys.

The game between EPMS and Austin should be a great one. In the first meeting Austin beat EPMS 6-0 in week 1. The Raiders bounced back beating their opponents by a combined score of 161 points to 28 points including playoffs. This should be an exciting week for both the Raiders and the Eagles. Good Luck to the AMS Eagles, and may the best team win.

Raiders, be ready to work this week so we can try and bring EPMS its first ever football championship!

  9. We appreciate the vote of confidence, and the good luck. You are right about the changes made the lineup, although I would say we made several changes and made the best use of personnel. We are looking forward to the rematch and wish Austin good luck. It should be a great game, No. 1 vs No 2, doesn't get any better than that. AMS has some good athletes and size, so it will be a tough game to win.

I will say this about the McClure/Austin game. I believe their coach saved a little defensive strategy for round 2 and didn;t show his hand in game 1. If I am correct he brought more pressure in round 2 disrupting the McClure passing game.

  10. East did win 28-6. The first half was tough with East having an 8-0 lead. Both teams played a great game. Congrats to Dobbins for a great year. Paulding County Middle School championship game, week 1 rematch between East and Austin. Austin won the first game 6-0, so this should be another good game. Good Luck to Austin next week.

  11. Good luck to Austin this weekend. The 7th grade game should be a good one as both 7th grade teams are very good, not to take anythng away from the 8th grade teams. But those 7th grade teams both light up the scoreboard.

I am curious to see how the AMS coaches decide to defend the McClure spread offense. Hate to miss the games, as both should be a good, but statistically we at East are more likley to Play Dobbins in the playoffs. So I must be elsewhere.

But again good luck to Austin, I have gotten to know their head coach a good bit this season and hope to see yall do well this week.

  12. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. For the last several years, I have been traveling with my job, and have been in a hotel for Halloween, or worse, working ( I worked at night). I am so looking forward to it this year since I am home for good now :D I love costume parties if anyone has any suggestions for a good one. I am soooo out of the loop as to the hot spots around here. By the way, felixfamily, your link is not working.

I got it fixed. When AT&T bought out bellsouth they changed our address.

  13. I love to decorate for Halloween as well. Not sure if we will this year as my wife wants me to concentrate more on our Christmas display (she says doing both is too much work to handle.). But we may thow together a small display for Halloween. Last year we had a graveyard, porch all cobwebbed out, fogger, strobes, etc. and the bushes and some of the house was lit and computerized.

But you are not the only one. It is fun to decorate for Halloween!

  14. I was reading this and it was hard for me not to reply knowing Coach Nape as I do. I actually got to know him several years ago before either of us took over our respective programs. FRom everything I have seen and heard about Coach Nape he has been good for HJMS Tigers. When I took over at East, even though we play each other at least once a season he was more than willing to help me out in anyway he could, give me advice, or whatever I needed. To me that should tell you the type of coach/person he is.

We might have beat yall this past Sat., but that is the first time in several years. Good Luck this week versus AMS.

  15. I just wanted to congratulate my EPMS Raider teams. Both the 7th and the 8th grade played great beating the Moses Titans 14-0 in the 7th and 24-8 in the 8th grade. Be ready to work hard this week at practice to prep for the HJMS Tigers. I am proud of you ALL, you played great.

  16. Bringing this back.

It looks as if Favre wants t play, and play for the Jets he shall. Whether you like him or not his numbers prove he is one of the All-Time greats at his position. I am not a Packers fan, but do like to watch Favre play. If it was about money he would have taken the 20-25 mill and stayed home. Obviously he wants to play. The whole retirement thing I think was the Pack pressuring him. Did you see Strahan retire in March or Johnathan Ogdon, no. They took their time and annonced in June. I cannot wait to see how both teams this season. I think the Pack are in for a long season and we will find out that Aaron Rodgers will not bring the Pack to the playoffs. If the Packers truly wanted to win a Super Bowl this season, Favre was teir only chance. What are they going to do when Rodgers gets hurt in ame 3 of the season, have a rookie lead them to the dance?
