  1. Yep, thats what I did. I scoped out the bookstore they have the courses listed on the shelf. I got the isbn #'s then started my search.

I had to pay $ a57 for an algebra book new at the bookstore. Luckily, I found one on half.com for $63 and the lady shipped it overnight for us and we got it in time!! WOHOO!! So, even with shipping charges, we saved over $50.

Hopefully, my hubby will be able to get the ISBN's earlier so we can order them faster!

Thank you for all of the responses!!! :D

  2. My father has super sensitive skin and allergies. His Eczema has actually calmed down since I started washing his clothes too!

But keep in mind I am using the Fal Naptha soap NOT ivory or other bar soap.

I really like the smell of the Fel Naptha soap, too. It smells very clean.

  3. Now I'm hooked too! I'll be making the laundry detergent this week. We wash lots of laundry here and this should really help save us some money...I'm so excited!

That is what I am hoping to do, too!! I had enough to make 6 gallons of laundry detergent and a coffee container full of dishwaher powder. I am running a load now with it. Also, I just put my towels in the dryer that I wash with the stuff and they smell GREAT! :p

  4. School is back! Yea!! My kids are going to be hurting.. they have been staying up until 3-4am and waking up about 2pm.. They are going to be some tired children at the start of this week!!

Mine, too! I can bet ya' that they will NOT be complaning that they don't want to go to bed tomorrow night!!!

  5. Yep, back tomorrow. I just saw one of my students and his mom told me that she thought it was the 9th as well.

I think at this point, I would go to desperate measures to go back tomorrow... I need to go back to get a break from my break. My own kids have been NUTS. :D

I understand COMPLETELY! School is a fine institution!!!!

  6. Here's more info on the ingredients and septic tanks:

~ 20 Mule Team Borax - per the manufacturers website - "20 Mule Team® Borax is not harmful to washing machines, plumbing or septic tanks and does not contain phosphates or chlorine."

~ Arm & Hammer Washing Soda: "Super Washing Soda is all natural. It will work well with and is safe for any septic system."

~ Fels Naptha (which is made by Dial Corporation) is simply soap - it's actually true, real soap - not detergent.

You are always such a wealth of information! Thank you for posting.

  7. I have to stick with my Scott Toilet Tissue, or as Daddy calls it "John Wayne TP" (rough and tough and don't take crap off anybody"..lol We have found Scott is much easier on our septic tank and our wallet. We (6 of us) can go through a 4 roll pack of Cottonelle in less than a week, but a 12 roll pack of Scott will last us about 6-8 weeks. I will have to pass on the corn cobs and the Sears catalogs.

I am with you on that!

  8. Here is a system that has always made it easy to remember. As sson as the bill comes in I take it apart and put the bill in the envelope and put the due date just under the stamp spot. I put the stamp on, the amount due and my address stamp in place. So when I am ready to print the checks out... I sign the check and drop them in the mail.

The point being you can glance at the envelopes and see the due date on the outside of the bill.

That is a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

  9. I just noticed that my Kohl's credit card due date has changed by a week. It has been due on the 15th of each month since I opened it up. It is now due on the 9th. That would have been a $39 late fee if I hadn't noticed it! Be sure to look at each due date this month!
