Do most people paint the wall/ceiling first, then cut the trim in? Or do they do the trim then paint the wall/ceiling? We have some splits in the ceiling on the joints. It is from when we had some leaks and the drywall got wet. I think if I just sand it and mud over it, the cracks will come back. Should I cut the tape out and retape?

my wife was there moments after it happened. It was just past (north/west) Scoggins. We drove by a little while ago on the way back and there were about 5 trucks putting up wires, mostly AT&T trucks. There looked to be an axle or 2 wheels left on scene. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for the driver
