Ok - I know all your Paulding county regulars to the forum are going to YELL at me when I ask this question but I did do a search and didnt find it so if you would so kindly direct me to the answer that would be awesome! What is being built next door to the Walmart on Dallas Highway?

I was told that there was going to be one this weekend in downtown Dallas - I can't find anything on Paulding.com - can someone tell me if this is true? If so how much does it cost to get in?

See below....... You bascially need to find your fair market value - apparently they said your house increased....if your bill is still going up! In order to find your property tax amount – you take your assesed current market value of your house multiply that by 40 percent, take that number and multiply that by the millage rate. Example – 80,000.00 X 40% = 32,000.00 32,000.00 x .033592 = $1,074.94 The milliage rate for 2009 was .032372 The millage rate for 2010 was .033592 If not - I would be appealing quickly!

Just imagine what our taxes would have looked like if we used the 2009 millage rate!

My child goes to Children's Palace and he loves it! They are great and super affordable compared to other day cares -ask for Angie or Samantha and they will show you around! I went to many different daycares around the area and this one by far is the best! Most of all - my child loves his teacher!

Bank owned homes still pay property taxes. I do closings on foreclosure homes all day and the banks are our clients. If the person is foreclosed on and the bank takes back the property they are now responsible for ALL the past due and current tax payments. So the above comment about the taxes not getting paid is untrue. I think it is unfair to take away the homestead when we are already upside down and loosing money on our homes on a daily basis. Don’t you think we have been panelized enough?

This is on the County website: "IMPORTANT NOTICE TO HOMEOWNERS REGARDING 2009 PROPERTY TAXES Posted : 6/25/2009 Tax Commissioner J. W. (Bill) Watson, III says homeowners should brace themselves for additional property taxes this year and the next. The state homestead tax relief grant that funded an increased homestead exemption to homeowners for the last several years will not be available this year. Declining state revenues during the current recession means there is no money for the State to give the tax relief to homeowners said Mr. Watson. This will mean a property tax incre
