For anyone interested, here is the flier that has been distributed to students and parents in the area. Wonder why the 2 photos of they chose to use of the stepmom are from the press conference and not a regular photo? Flier released by investigators in Kyron Horman case.pdf

Yeah, I remember that case.

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/mother_of_st_helens_boy_who_fo.html Police told the family the case does not appear connected to the Kyron Horman disappearance. The Columbia County District Attorney's Office reviewed the police reports, and determined it doesn't have the evidence to prosecute Phipps for attempted kidnapping, let alone any other felony, said deputy district attorney John Berg. He said prosecutors would have to prove that Phipps intended to kidnap the boy. And although Berg said he couldn't go into details, evidence released by police indicates the

I'm so glad this young man managed to get away from that guy. I'm sure the parents of the 5th grader have had a lot of sleepless nights thinking about what could have happened! :shudder: I know I would. Have you read any more updates on this guy?

This just popped out at me. Just found this: http://www.tspc.state.or.us/LDisplay_Individual.asp?id=3939893V793 According to this link, Kyron's teacher doesn't look like a "new" or "1st year teacher" to me.

I agree! -
I agree with you. Why use the school? Then again, people who do these kind of things aren't very bright, or at least they think the public isn't. I'm going under the assumption that his Diorama was taken to the school a couple of days before the science fair. If that was the case, it would have been very simple to have him not appear at the bus stop that morning. Maybe she could have awaken that morning not feeling well, use that as an excuse not to take him to the science fair, have him walk to the bus stop alone, but was never seen again. I don't want to believe the SM did anyt

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/day_three_search_continues_hun.html 1:29 p.m. -- Neighbors stop by Brooks Hill Historic church, across the street from the school, to mull over the investigation. "This kind of thing is unheard of," says Jim Kelley, 50. Kelley, who lives about a mile and a half down hill, at the end of a winding, secluded country lane off Cornelius Pass, said police, federal agents, K-9 teams and helicopters scoured the area Saturday. "We had two odd sightings of a vehicle on our road Friday," Kelley said. Around 3 p.m., he and a neighbor report

Terri Moulton Horman is scheduled to take another polygraph in disappearance of Kyron Horman http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/friend_says_terry_moulton_horm.html Jaymie Finster, a longtime friend, said Horman is "tired and frustrated with the intensity of the questioning she's been getting." After taking one polygraph test, Finster said, Horman is taking another one Saturday and "she's not very happy about it." Finster has known Horman since they went to junior high in Roseburg and worked together in the Hillsboro School District, where Finster is a special

Not the guy in the brown shirt. I believe he has a cell phone. I'm talking about the one on the left side of the screen at 1:15. He has his hand down at his side. Never points it at anyone. -

After I read the comments on the link, one post stood out (8th post) by Tacomasteve. He stated that at 1:16 on the video, there is a man holding a gun. I watched it, and at appr. 1:15, there is a man with SOMETHING in his hand, that to me definitely LOOKS like a gun. What do y'all think????? Edited to correct the time -

I am full agreement with the officer. Heaven forbid he had tazed her and she later ended up yelling that she was pregnant. Could you imagine being in his position having to handle those two by yourself, with no chance to call for back-up, and everybody around you yelling at you? He also had absolutely no idea what the by-standers were going to do. He never even had a chance to reach for pepper spray, taser, GUN or anything. She should count herself lucky -
Wow! They do look a lot alike!

Stepmom was a big fan of CSI
-
There was a lot of speculation about that, but she's in a different time zone, so she was actually playing Farmville at 2:34, an hour before she "found out" he was missing. The photos on her FB, yeah, very few of Kyron. Did you notice on the ones she did have of him, the tags would simply say "Kyron", with no last name and no captions? Pictures of everyone else had captions (for the most part) and first and last names. Shelterpetsrock, yes, the one crying was the bio-mom.

I've been following this story as well. Can't get it out of my mind. She got him to school around 8am. Walked with him to his class to deposit his bookbag and jacket. Went to other classrooms (or gym??)to view his entry. Stepmom took photo of him in front of his entry. At 8:45, he stated that he was going back to his room. she walked him to his hallway and watched him walk toward his room. She didn't see him go in. She then turned and left ( she said she had errands and chores to do) At 9am. the class broke up into small groups to go to the science fair. At 10am, they returned to the
